Getting errors with 3.0.8
Hello!
I've been trying 3.0.8 on OS X 10.6.7 today and have been getting some errors. The command I'm using is:
/usr/local/bin/rsync -aNHAXx --protect-args --fileflags --force-change --progress /Users/davidallie/Documents/ /Volumes/david.allie/Documents/
The target Documents folder is on an iDisk mounted as david.allie . The errors are happening at the beginning and end.

Mac OS X : "get_xattr_names: llistxattr("some/path/here", 1024) failed" error
...several backups).
I've followed Mike Bombich's instructions to compile rsync 3.0.7 with patches (fileflags, crtimes, crtimes-64bit, crtimes-hfs+ and hfs_compression) on both machines. I'm running the script as root with the following options (which are supposed to do the work) :
-aNHAXx --fileflags --force-change --protect-decmpfs --numeric-ids
The script works pretty fine except for one thing. When rsync builds the file list, I get hundred of errors such as :
rsync: get_xattr_names: llistxattr("some/path/here",1024) failed: No such file or directory (2)

rsync hangs after aborting a process
Greetings. In testing an rsync backup script I'd created, I made a mistake
and aborted the running script with a ctrl-C keyboard interrupt. The
command that was running at the time was as follows:
${RSYNC_CMD} -aNHAXx --protect-args --fileflags --force-change
--rsync-path="/usr/local/bin/rsync" <username>@<my.server.com>:${CPY_SRC}
${CPY_DEST}
The expected data transfer was somewhere in the range of 150GB, but all in
small-to-medium sized text files and images. The transfer was aborted af...

Odd issue with locked directories and Mac OS X
Some of my users have reported problems with rsync puking on locked

rsync on OSX for transferring files using FAT32
...times)
What I would really like to happen is:
all additional HFS attributes of files are tranferred, and
when no or few changes occur, nothing or little should be copied or
transferred, so I can go home quickly.
I am currently using 3.0.6+fileflags+crtimes, with the following command:
sudo rsync -aNHAXx --fileflags --force-change --modify-window=1 SRC DST
I get errors of the type:
rsync: get_xattr_names:
llistxattr("masking/figures/._intro_err_2tissue_worst_best_add1.pdf",1024)
failed: Operation not permitted (1)
These errors occur, I think, trying to access files that store xattr

Macintosh rsync: Inconsistent Behaviour: Hints Appreciated
I have a problem with rsync on macintosh copying files that have not been
updated. Despite careful reading of the archives, I can't find an
explanation (or a fix), but I strongly suspect I'm just missing something
that an expert will recognise instantly... Your assistance would be greatly
appreciated.
