convert plugin problem from UW-IMAP
...y process returned 89
Fatal: Invalid configuration in /etc/dovecot.conf
So based on a tip on the mailing list, I try
convert_mail = mbox:/home/users/%u:INBOX=/var/spool/mail/%u
But the session fails, and Thunderbird can't connect properly.

NFS cache flush tester
http://dovecot.org/tools/nfstest.c
I wrote a test utility that tests different ways to flush NFS attribute
cache and data cache. Please test in your NFS setup and show me the
results, so I can make Dovecot v1.1 works well with NFS.

convert plugin: endless conversion and duplicate messages
Hi,
When an mbox has a filename with a period, the Dovecot 1.0.1 convert
plugin will endlessly convert the same mbox causing duplicate messages.

and another with an invalid name. Then, repeat the login procedure a
few times.
Dovecot should do something more graceful such as replacing periods with
another character.

convert_mail ?
I can't find much documentation on the convert_mail plugin. For
example, on the wiki plugins page, clicking on convert goes to
<http://wiki.dovecot.org/InterWiki> which is not relevant.
Can I use convert_mail to migrate from UW IMAP 2002 mbox format where
some mail is in ~/ and the inboxes are in /var/spool/mail? Will it know
which files are mbox folders, so it doesn't try to

Subfolders with Thunderbird and maildir?
I setup a test dovecot-1.0-0.beta8.2.fc5 and left most of the settings
as the defaults. In Thunderbird 1.5.0.8 Windows, when I tried to create
a subfolder named "subfolder" under INBOX, it showed up as the same
level a INBOX and with the name "INBOX^subfolder".
I was able to manually create a subfolder using "mkdir
