...eems to be unreachable. I can ssh into the system, but when entering interactive mode, nothing happens and the session is terminated. Then I thought - what if sshd had builtins like bash, so that i could send a "reboot" command to the ssh daemon instead "ssh system /sbin/reboot" andd sshd could tell PID 1 to reboot. There are, of course, a lot things to think about here, but I really think this would be a good thing to think about implementing. It sure would've helped me now. -- Mvh, Lars Bahner

Help on adding a negative binomial density plot
Dear list, I am just starting on analysis of count data in R 3.4.0. My dataset was obtained from counting particles on a surface before andd after a cleaning process. The sampling positions on the surface are pre-defined and are the same before and after cleaning. I have ~20% of 0's. I want to know if the cleaning process was useful at reducing the number of particles. I first fit a negative binomial model using > nbFit<-...

R function that duplicates Octave's poly function?
...eig' function for computing eigenvalues. If X is a vector, `poly (X)' is a vector of coefficients of the polynomial whose roots are the elements of X. That is, of C is a polynomial, then the elements of `D = roots (poly (C))' are contained in C. The vectors C andD are, however, not equal due to sorting and numerical errors. Thanks again for any insights and feedback.

qeum on centos 8 with nvme disk
Hi All - I use qemu on my centOS 7.7 box that has software raid of 2- SSD disks. I installed an nVME drive in the computer also. I tried to insall CentOS8 on it (the physical /dev/nvme0n1 with the -hda /dev/nvme0n1 as the disk. The process started installing but is really "slow" - I was expecting with the nvme device it would be much quicker. Is there something I am missing how to

Check if a saved user''s name is admin
Hi all, I have a question about this method in my User model: # Returns true for the (saved) user called "admin" def is_the_administrator true if save and name == "admin" end The method returns true if the user''s name is admin. However, I only want to return true if the state of the object is "saved", so I call the save method first. I''m

Moving/merging a filesystem back into /
Hello, I'm going to be moving a filesystem around, and was planning on using rsync to do it, so like to get some advice from those more experienced than I (both using rsync, and moving filesystems)... I currently have a system that has a separate /usr on an LVM partition. I want to merge this back into the / (root) filesystem. This is a production server (mail server, gentoo linux), so
