erasing an area of a graph
...ht. Help or pointers to help would be welcome. Terry T Details (for the inquiring mind). In drawing a pedigree subjects are depicted as cirle, square, diamond, or triangle (for gender= male, female, unknown, terminated). This can be subdivided into shaded regions to show the value of various ancillary variables. One ancillary is easy - just fill with a color. For two you fill the left and right half separately, etc. Two, three, four, ... variables become special cases for each symbol. An easy solution is to draw a larger circle with the requisite number of shaded slices, then erase away what...

iproute2: gatewayed routes in ancillary tables
Hello all, Tomas Bonnedahl and I recently corresponded about a rather odd behaviour with routes in ancillary routing tables. We both receive a "Network is unreachable" error when we try to add gatewayed routes to ancillary tables and the main routing table does not contain an entry for the gateway IP. It seems that unless a route to the gateway IP exists in the main routing table, I cannot add...

labelling plots with ancillary data in data.frame
Hi All, I am busy using R to do some regression modelling and have been using plot(x,y,"") to visualise my variables. I would now like to label my points using data stored in the data.frame used for the regression analysis. For example each of my data points is made up of a field measured forest volume value and a remotely sensed vegetation estimate (NDVI). Each point is an enumeration

Location of ancillary files
Let''s say, for example, that I want to create an order form and that I want to assign an order number to each submitted order form for tracking purposes. So, I create a little file to store the latest number. Then when a new order comes in, I grab that number, increment it by one, assign the incremented number to the order, and finally replace the number that''s in the file with

[PATCH v3 1/2] drm/virtio: Add window server support
...oxies need to understand the extension, the client <=> guest proxy and > host proxy <=> server communication would be standard wayland protocol. Thanks for the ideas. What I haven't understood yet is how you see the actual passing of buffers via vsock. Are you thinking of using ancillary data to pass FDs, or something else? Thanks, Tomeu

misc subdirectory
The utils package has a misc folder, and some other packages have folders that are not listed in the R-extensions documentation (?data?, ? demo?, ?exec?, ?inst?, ?man?, ?po?, ?src?, and ?tests?). I'd like to be able to put some ancillary data into a misc folder, but it's mere presence in the source folder or source tarball (created with R CMD build) does not mean that it gets put into the zip file (I'm using Windoze) for the package. How do I get an extra, nonstandard subdirectory into a package? Thanks. Dave [[alte...

Intel Skylake Server
CentOS 6.9 has support for the Haswell processor which is a subset of the Skylake. All Skylake server ancillary components work perfectly with CentOS 6.9. The AST2500 used with the Skylake is very good and will process UHD. However this is not backwards compatible with legacy variants. To make it work an ancillary graphics card is required which is less than $100. This will not break the bank. Regards,...

dovecot and unison
...http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/unison/), which I am already using to sync much of my home dir about once a day. I found at least one positive message regarding this topic (http://dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2010-April/048092.html), but I feel I could use some more advice. Namely, which of the ancillary files should I be syncing (or perhaps deleting before sync)? In addition to the mails themselves I'm seeing: -rw------- 1 fz 501 13 Apr 1 17:10 dovecot-keywords -rw------- 1 fz 501 2483 Apr 1 17:10 dovecot-uidlist -rw------- 1 fz 501 1040 Mar 29 14:50 dovecot.index -rw-----...

[LLVMdev] Announcement: Phabricator for code reviews
...encourage. > > Completely in agreement. Requiring a third-party login is a good reason for not using a service. As Manuel has pointed out, there is no requirement. The process is awkward (emailing him) but works. I don't think the account creation or login mechanism (something that is ancillary at best to a code review system) should be the primary feature or constraint considered. Instead, with a workable (if awkward) solution in hand, let's perhaps focus on whether the tool is useful in actually doing code reviews.

generalized negative binomial
I am looking for code that allows for a more flexible negative binomial model (similar to Stata's "gnbreg"). In particular, I am looking to be able to model the ancillary shape parameter in terms of a series of covariates. So if, y[i] ~ poisson(mu[i]) mu[i] = exp(x[i]beta + u[i]) exp(u[i]) ~ Gamma(1/alpha, alpha) I am looking to parameterize alpha as exp(z[i]gamma). If you are familiar with a package that allows for this, I'd appreciate the heads up....

OpenSSH 2.9.9.p2 port to IBM OS/390 Unix System Services
I have done a port of OpenSSH to Unix Systems Services on IBM mainframes running OS/390. I have a version which seems to work with SSH 1 and 2, and most of the ancillary programs seem to work as well. I'd really like to see the changes (which mostly have to do with deciding which things need to be translated between ASCII and EBCDIC) incorporated into the source base. What is the best way to go about this? What does the release schedule (if such a thing exist...

D-Link DGE-550SX support
I found some ancillary information that seems to indicate that there is a driver that will allow a D-Link DGE-550SX Gigabit fiber NIC to work under FreeBSD 4.x. Can anyone confirm or refute this, or provide additional information? If the NIC is not supported, is there a recommendation for a gigabit fiber NIC that works w...

Intel Skylake Server
Hello, I have a pre-production Intel Skylake server using dual 8176 processors (28 core @2.1Ghz) I have loaded from the DVD distribution CentOS 7.3 and RHEL 7.4 with no problems. When I try and load CentOS 6.9 the boot process hangs just as the Anaconda graphics is started for CentOS configuration. If I use a secondary graphics card then the process completes with no problems and CentOS boots

Creating RPMs for Packages
...uld work out RPM's for package installations (traceable, easily facilitated with existing sw management tools). I don't know a lot and RPMs beyond how to use them, but it seems plausible to write R code to create the RPM package. If we need to update package X, which triggers and update of ancillary packages Y and Z, it should be possible to use available.packages() to figure out the dependencies, download the sources, write out the RPM headers and package things up. Before I try to write any code, does anyone see any issues with this (or has it already been done)? Is this a ridiculous approa...
