ananconda update.img creation fails: generated but with wrong python version in /usr/sbin/anaconda contained
...file /usr/sbin/anaconda), and so the all installation fails immediately. My question is: what are the steps to create an anaconda update image appropriate for a particular centos release? Thanks a lot.
The steps I have performed (to create an update.img) are listed below:
?1) find the version of ananconda that centos 7.2 installation media: 21.48.22.56-1.
?2) follow the instructions at the above wiki page, and wiki https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Anaconda. Run the following command (to generate update.img):

looking for 4.2 minimal kickstart
Hi
I am looking for an example of a kickstart file for a simple, minimal
server install. I don't need any graphical apps just ssh, httpd and
development tools. It seems that even when I specify only the packages I
want many other packages are installed making the install very large.
Any links to guides or example kickstart files would be great.
Thanks,

Another Fedora decision
...probably some of you, at least, follow Fedora, perhaps in part to see
what new desktop user oriented decision will make it into the next version
of RHEL/CentOS.
You may have noticed how if Fedora, by some odd scheme, deems your password
unworthy, you have to click Done two times.
So, the latest Ananconda takes this one step further. Passwords that the
system considers weak will no longer be allowed. While this will probably
only be a minor inconvenience, (add 3 bangs to the end or something equally
meaningless), a few on the fedora-testing list, including myself, think
it's just one more solut...

cannot kickstart centos 6 on Dell Blade error cannot find c0t0
I have an intermittent problem with my Dell blades, out of 80 blades 69
of them kickstarted Centos 6 fine using PXE
The other 11, I get a c0t0 not found error (indicating it is not
finding the local disk on the blade).
I can remote mount the iso image and do a basic install of centos on
these blades, but when I go to do a pxe boot it gives me that error again.
I have googled the issue and

Hi Gordon
Thanks for your help. unfortunately it is still complaining.
Currently, I try to install and it fails, I remove all the partitions from
ALT-F3 console using wipefs, check with parted -l that the partitions and
labels are wiped and then reboot.
It fails again with:-
ERR ananconda: Bootloader setup failed: failed to find a suitable stage1
device
INFO anaconda: fs space: 0 B needed: 2861.02 MiB
If I reboot, select legacy BIOS it works
The only differences in the Kickstart files are as follows:
legacy KS
bootloader --location=mbr --boot-drive=sda --driveorder=sda,sdb
