forest (meta) editing text
OK - I've been doing some work on getting a forest plot or two together for a sub-group analaysis. Thats the crucial thing - because its a sub-group analysis rather than a meta-analsysis and all the forest (meta) and forestplot (rmeta) instructions assume you are doing a meta-analysis.
I found rmeta didn't play nicely for me so I'm using the meta package with forest. Here's some code that would allow you to reproduce it:
library(meta)

meta-analysis in R
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am trying to explore the citation bias by perfroming meta-analysis. I need to plot a forest plot on some other proportions other than the usual effect size OR,RR, RD.
I still do not have any idea after searching google and reading relevant books. Can anyone kindly help? Thank you in advance.
Best wishes

using apply to a data frame
??I would like to apply a function, fract, to the columns of a
dataframe. I tried the following
apply(data5NonEventEpochs,2,fract)
but, no surprise it did not work as apply works on matrices not data
frames. How can I apply a fuction to the columns of a data frame? (I
can't covert data5NonEventsEpochs to a matrix as it contains character
data).
Thank you,
John

[LLVMdev] Summer of Code
Dear LLVMers,
my name is Douglas, and I would like to participate in the Summer of
Code this year. I am currently a Computer Science student at the
Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil, and I work as a research
assistant at the Programming Languages Lab, in that university. I work
together with Andre Tavares and Andrei Rimsa, two summer of coders
last year, and my advisor is Fernando
