[OT] Load testing with SIPp
Hello,
I'm running load testing sessions.
My System Under Test is an asterisk 13 with 16GB, configured with maxfiles
set to 400 000.
This system is supposed do produce simple SIP trunking services without
transcoding.
The box sending call to my System Under Test is anabled with SIPp.
I'm banging on a 700 concurrent calls/50 CAPS limit I would like to
improve, if possible.
Tests are done with both signaling and media like this:
SIPp <---> SUT (asterisk 13) <---> Asterisk box echoing media
I checked bandwidth first and got 930 Mb/s on each leg (from...

Samba AD member server and cached credentials?
Hi
we are using a recent samba server in an AD W2003 domain.
The AD DC's are located at the main location.
The samba member servers (file-servers) are located at the
outside locations.
A User is able to logon to his Workstation, even if the
Domaincontroller is not available, if he has already logged on to
this workstation earlier (the clients caches the credentials).
But the client is

isolinux
...the error 'unable to mount
root fs 01:00' etc... It seems to load the ramdisk
OK.
Do I need to rdev the kernel if using isolinux? i
thought that's not necessary. Do I need to specify
the right ramdisk size? Is there something
fundamental
that prevents use of a ram disk in a crypto-anabled
kernel? Does 2.2.16 not work with isolinux for some
reason (it's the last 2.2.X kernel to have proper
crypto support).
Any help would really be appreciated (even if this
isn't
strictly an isolinux problem. The same kernel boots
fine from Lilo off the hard-disk.

Building 1.3.9 shared 64bit / 32bit install deb for Ubuntu
Hi,
I'm made a script which downloads and compiles a shared install for Ubuntu. But, I'd like to make this into a deb file.
Have tried building the deb with instructions found here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BuildingWineFromSource
download wine 1.3.9 from the wine/ppa repository and uncommenting the --anable-64bit line in
debian/rules

[Bug 1216] Warn via Logwatch when sshd PermitRootLogin is in effect
..., perhaps a new value for the
PermitRootLogin option:
yes - allow access (default)
no - deny access
warn - implies "allow access", issue periodic (daily) warning via
logwatch mechanism.
Personally, I prefer a new option keyword, I think it is more clear.
Both options should be anabled by default, the syadmin can then make an
informed decision:
1 - turn off the warning (yes, I know, I want that)
2 - deny root logon (say what?! Thanks for telling me, I'll stop that
right now)
3 - I like seeing the warning everyday :-)
Thanks :-)

Re RGui and object browser
Hallo Dan
I used your code for ls.objects and it is very usefull. I corrected some typo and it
worked well untill now.
I observed Error due to class evaluation in lists created by aov fit as the fitted
object from aov has two classes (aov and lm)
So I made a little change which seems to work.
Here it is:

- le realm du domaine AD est ad.demo.local
La configuration du KDC lui m?me ne pr?sente pas de difficult?

Building with LLVM_PARALLEL_XXX_JOBS
I had only a quick view on the blog-texts.
It might be that a CLANG generated with LTO/PGO speeds up the build.
Can you confirm this?
Can you confirm binutils-gold speed up the build?
Has LLVM an own linker?
Can be used? Speedup the build?
Yesterday night I loooked through available CMAKE/LLVM variables...
