...uot;foo".
This works fine with Samba 3.x, but not with Samba 4.x. When setting
owner/group to root/bar on "/test/restricted" and mode=770, access is
denied for all users.
What can I do to make this work with Samba 4.x? Or is this simply not
possible anymore?

Loginname - mapping
...I know that the best way is to start again and use virtual
domains and get all into one naming standard, but unfortunately, that is
not going to happen.
The other alternative is of course to hack into the source code of
atmail, but I am not that confident in PHP.
Any ideas?

Using non-gcc compilers with install.packages()

PS. I really like perl's approach to module building. When building
perl modules, it defaults to the same compilers as perl was initially
built with. This seems like a sane approach also for R IMHO.
Cheers,

In addition there is probably an error in the ``switch (acct_name[0]) {''

Add linux group to windows AD group
Hello
I have a fileserver running samba 4.9.4 that is a member in an AD. The backup tool I am using is running as a linux user that is a member of linux group 'disk'. I'd like to add the group disk to a windows AD group 'backup' which have read access to the share. I am thinking that it is easier to manage the share from one point and that being the windows tool. I have only

Replace AD DC FS with 2 new servers
I inherited an old Samba 4 server that act as both AD DC and fileserver. Hardware is old, need to be replaced.
Plan is to add a second AD DC and join a new fileserver as a domain member, rsync all files from the old file server to the new and map clients to the new one and finally demote the old AD DC.
The old AD DC has this line in smb.conf:
idmap_ldb:use rfc2307 = yes
Because of that my

So I added a second DC with the rfc2307 option. It replicates and I auth works. yay.

I belive the microsoft admin tools have always been used to add users and groups
