Setting up Profiles share... 777?!
.../srv/samba/profiles
read only = No
vfs objects = acl_xattr
acl_xattr:default acl style = windows
acl_xattr:ignore system acls = yes
But failing to create profiles for users; after fiddling a bit, i was forced
to have '/srv/samba/profiles' as 775 :unixadm (a group member of 'Domain
Aministrators') and profile folders get created '777':

intermittant problem with samdump and vampire
Hello
I am running a net work with a NT4PDC a NT4 BDC and attent to add samba
BDC.
I am following the brief section 28 of the Samba-Howto collection for
samba head/3.0.
* Adding the samba server as a BDC from NT server manager seems OK
* Getting, recording domain sid is ok (see below)

Keeping local Profiles in WinNT and W2K
Yesterday I moved my LAN domain from a W2K server to Samba and I have
problems logging on
to my WinNT 4 machine using local profiles.
My boss's computer is a freshly installed W2K and it had no problem at
all with the change.
My computer is a WinNT4 SP 6 and when I tried to log on with my user it
said it couldnt find the profile
and logged me off immediately. I used to have a roaming
