Wanted: online Introduction to R
As a complete newcomer I am attempting to learn to use R, but am finding it extremely difficult because I have not yet found an "Introduction to R". For over a week now I have monitored the R-help list, studied the R-FAQ and related documents, downloaded and run the Windows R and looked at the Help, downloaded early and late samples of the R-help archives, and searched for illuminating

R for teaching multivariate statistics (Summary)
...apters 11 and 12 of MASS. Pierre Bady pointed out the material on the website "Enseignements de Statistique en Biologie" http://pbil.univ-lyon1.fr/R/enseignement.html by A.B. Dufour, D. Pat Altham has a wealth of material on her web site, especially http://www.statslab.cam.ac.uk/~pat/misc.ps and http://www.statslab.cam.ac.uk/~pat/AppMultNotes.ps.gz Many thanks to these respondants for their help. Who uses R?
Dear R users, I have started work in a Statistics government department and I am trying to convince my bosses to install R on our computers (I can't do proper stats in Excel!!).
