Hi, i'm a newb to using icecast. what i'm using is, foobar2000, with the altacast encoder. I went in to the config file, and changed the adminname/password. i've left everything else at there defaults. I open up altacast, and add a new encoder, giveing it the user name, and password. it works fine. But when giveing the link to people to listen, they say they can't open...

A newbie question I'm afraid. I have a site that streams to only about 20 or 30 listeners using Icecast for Windows 2.4.4 and Altacast. The issue - I often see multiple connections started almost simultaneously from one IP address, usually an iphone or ipad. The device descriptions are identical, and I know my listeners are listening from home, so my assumption is that one device is opening multiple connections. If I kill one...

I been revising my list of options for people to connect to my icecast servers. And would like to know what clients you use to connect. I know of the list on the site and I would like to know what you guys use. Please Post Name, Version, OS and Why you choose or recommend this client.
