Enabling the "lockd" plugin and starting the same machine, "cat

issue with deprecatiing push_with_attributes
...atabase I don''t control.
Making a new join model might not be an option for me (unless there''s
something I''m missing). The linking table may have attributes that I''ll
need to change.
I could still get them updated via SQL but that''s silly since this is alredy
handled by AR.
Would anyone care to comment on this? Perhaps the functionality could be
removed from Rails but placed in a *maintained* plugin for legacy database
support?

Chanskype Support
...software again after the my old server got
retired and someone else is squatting on their website. Can someone
give me the latest ChanSkype binaries?
Why do I have to rebuy the functionality I've already paid for too? Is
digium going to feel for all the people who have to re-buy what they
have alredy paid for. I guess the same happened when ALSA replaced
commercial OSS from 4front. I paid $99 to them. Does anyone know where
the ChanSkype people are?
Cheers,

Idmap creates unnecessary group entry
Hy Samba users,
I've got a problem with an samba/ldap setup. As I set an ACL to a domain
group in an windows client, a group mapping entry will be created in the
Idmap ou at the ldap server.
I discoverd the OpenLDAP logfiles. There, the server sends a search
request for the domain group sid to the ldap backend will retreive an
entry back:

panic with ZERO_COPY_SOCKETS on 5.4 (and probably 6.0)

Also, there is a PR with a similar diagnostic (but not sure if it is
ZERO_COPY_SOCKETS problem):
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=kern/75780
I still have coredumps on my machine together with copy of
kernel.debug (although I've updated machine to 5.5-PRERELEASE alredy),
and can provide backtrace etc. if somebody will be interested in this.

PATCH: virtio_console: Fix poll blocking even though there is data to read
...ever if an application reads enough bytes from inbuf
through port_fops_read, to empty the current port->inbuf, port->inbuf
will be NULL even though there may be buffers left in the virtqueue.
This causes poll() to block even though there is data to be read, this patch
fixes this by using the alredy defined will_read_block utility function
instead of the port->inbuf != NULL check.

[OT]: Require suggestions - GSM Gateway <-> Asterisk
Hello,
I am looking for ideas and suggestions. I want to use a 16 port GSM gateway as a trunk for outbound/inbound. I will also have two PSTN phone lines coming into the Asterisk server. All calls will go to an IVR on the Asterisk PBX. Outbound from extensions will route to GSM-GW when the dialed number matches a pattern set in the GSM-GW trunk. And accordingly for the PSTN trunks. But that's

Unicode support in FXRuby 1.6
All,
As some of you know, Jeroen has added support for Unicode strings in
the unstable development version of FOX (version 1.5). I''m trying to
plan ahead to decide how best to support this for FXRuby 1.6, but I
don''t really know anything about Ruby''s support for Unicode or i18n in
general. If you''re familiar with this topic (how/if Ruby deals with

Solr -> Xapian ?
For "rescan " and "optimize", wouldn't it be the dovecot core who
indicate which are to be dismissed (expunged), or re-ask for indexing a
particular (or all) uid ? WHy would the backend be aware of the
transactions on the mailbox ???
There is alredy "fts_backend_xxx_update_expunge", so I beleive the
management of the expunged messages is *NOT* in the backend, right ?
