[LLVMdev] How to use LLVM optimizations with clang
Thanks alot Chad for quick response. Does this means that, we can not use LLVM optimizations except O1, O2, O3, O4 and unroll-loops with clang? One more thing I would like to know that If I want to process multiple modules with opt at the same time like opt -adce *.bc then how is it possible with opt in one...

smbd using alot of cpu
I have an smbd process that is using alot of cpu on HP-UX 11.11 using Samba 2.2.3a. It looks like the application on the client side is trying to open and close a ton of files, many of which do not exist. When I do a trace on the smbd process, I see repeated calls to lstat64 to what looks like all of the device files on my unix server. Her...

serios problem with zaptel or asterisk
Hello, I have installed 2 *'s and i have connected both to E1, ISDN. Both are using EuroISDN. On both i use alaw. The distance in ping time for them is 3 ms. I use IAX and as a codec i use alaw on that connection. Now the problems are: 1. I get some crunches on the line, alot of them. 2. I get some hangup's, very often, and i have no idee from where that is comming. This is my log for a disconnect < [02 01 3a 36 08 02 97 b5 45 08 02 c0 83 ] < Informational frame: < SAPI: 00 C/R: 1 EA: 0 < TEI: 000 EA: 1 < N(S): 029 0: 0 < N(R): 027 P:...

best filesystem for a webserver
Dear all, i'm setting up a new machine to handle a webserver with mysql web directory contains alot of small files and database is around 15 GB i've did a bit research, read alot of articles.. mainly i came up with the understanding that: EXT3 is the set it and forget it kind of filesystem. and reiserFS is the best choice for small files though there's a bigger risk of data loss upon po...

...general, if a front-end can produce LLVM IR then you can do this, by outputting the IR and passing it to "opt". We are planning on releasing the project open source when it is more complete. I need to port alot of things to a more general way of doing things and refactor alot of code so this should get better daily. There are some prieview images at my blog http://longint.net/Blog/?p=15 Currently it is just a file browser, it uses ajax has drag and drop and upload with progress the whole bit. The theme...

smbd using alot of cpu on HP-UX 11.11
Hello Danny Travis, I am assuming you are using generic Samba 2.2.3a version. We came across the problem and you can fix it by setting the cache variable on the devnm() system cal to 1. Just set the last parameter to the devnm() call in smbd/quotas.c to 1. ################################### # ./samba2.2/source/smbd/quotas.c # ################################### 912a913,919 > #ifdef

Winbind generating alot of "Failure Audit" on windows domain controller
Hi List, I'm evaluating the use of samba/winbind to join our linuxhosts into active directory. We use win2k3 R2 with rfc2307 schema fields populated on the server side. For the most part the project is humming along nicely. A couple of days ago i noticed that the domaincontrollers get spammed with a lot of messages in the event log. The events look like this: Failure Audit - Security -

alot of traffic over pppoe ?
hi I was wondering is pppoe scalable enought to support Gbps speeds or at least tens of hundred of Mbps ? From the docs I read it seems that after user is auth over pppoe the client traffic still passes over ppp-channel from pppoe-client <---> pppoe-server <---> Internet Instead of pppoe-client <---> Internet m''I correct with this assumption ? From this I
