How to not reencode with ices2
It appears that no matter what I place into the <encode></encode> section
of my ices2.xml, the stream is re-encoded. If I remove the
<encode></encode> section alltogether my ogg files are streamed as is but
the status page no longer shows the correct information. So what is the
proper way to configure a stream that just 'passes through' the ogg files
at whatever bitrate they were encoded at?

Will sretpromotion still be needed? If the frontends would generate functions
returning a struct directly instead of using an sret argument, sret could
perhaps be removed alltogether? Though I guess there is an ABI difference
between using sret and returning a structure directly?

help with eval()
...e want are there.
I don't understand the logic behind looking for variables in the place
the formula was first typed (this is not a complaint). The inability to
look elsewhere however has stymied my efforts to fix the scoping problem
in predict.coxph, unless I drop the env(formula) argument alltogether.
But I assume there must be good reasons for it's inclusion and am
reluctant to do so.

Yeah, I know about cdparanoia?which by the way does not work on my 64bit
system?and other ripping tools. I am only suggesting supporting .cda as a
way to avoid ripping alltogether (from a user's perspective anyways).

right, there's an ABI difference. Also you can't return variable sized structs
using MRV support (I don't know if gcc really supports this, but some pieces of
code inside gcc mention...

effect sizes in lme/ multi-level models
Dear alltogether,
I am searching for a way to determine "effect size" in multi-level
models by using lme().
Coming from Psychology, for ordinary OLS there are measures (for
meta-analysis, etc.) like
CohensD <- (mean_EG - mean_CG) / SD_pooled
or
(p)eta^2 <- SS_effect / (SS_effect + SS_error)
I...

OpenGL context switching with Noveau
...phics cards, but not with any nvidia card
(tried a few of them), neither with the proprietary driver nor with noveau.
Are there any specific tricks to achieve this? Or should I just use one
context from one process, i.e. use multithreading instead of
multiprocessing and avoid context switching alltogether? (is there
something fundamentally wrong in my approach of multiprocesses and
context switching?)
Interestingly, when using N>2 multiprocesses (spanned with fork), only
one of the textures is updating - the others freeze. However, when
using the same code as independently launched program...

Sysprep AD Join fails on Dual Stack
...101.0.1
I went with disabling IPv6 on the Samba AD because I want IPv6 on my
workstations. So Samba is not the culprit, sysprep has a racy ip setup.
I'll do two more tests:
- Add an IPv6 DNS entry to my old AD and confirm that sysprep
breaks as well.
- Disable IPv4 alltogether and try a domain join with and
without sysprep. I'll report back on my findings.
Cheers,
Thomas

BT100 Phone Died During Call
I've been using Asterisk for a few weeks now. I have a (1) BT100 phone and
a Sipura-2000 for all my analog phones. All has worked rather flawlessly,
until today.
I was on the BT100 phone today. During my phone conversation, the BT100
disconnected and went into a "click" mode. 2 "clicks" per second I think.
Asterisk was fine, I picked up one of the analog phones,

how to obtain "par(ask=TRUE)" with trellis-plots
Dear alltogether,
how can a delay like possible with par(ask=TRUE) be attained while using
trellis-plots within a loop or something like that?
the following draws each plot without waiting for a signal
(mouse-klick), so par() does not work for that:
library(nlme)
for(i in 1:3)
{

newly install old and present R versions
...ell?
To make things more complicated I am also using Rtools. Is it possible
to have two parallel versions of Rtools? Sure I can install it but I
suppose as it sets some PATH variables only one can actually only be
active at a time. Hence it might be smarter to avoid installing Rtools
for 2.8.1 alltogether, that is live without it (having enough troubles
with running Rtools for one version alongside with MinGW as also the
path to g++ can conflict ...)
thanks,
Thomas

how to get colnames of a dataframe within a function called by 'apply'
Hello alltogether,
how is it possible to assign the colnames of a data.frame to a function
called by apply, e.g. for labeling a plot?
Example: I want to plot several qqnorm-plots side by side and there
should be a maintitle for each qqnorm-plot which is identical to the
respective colname.
I checked, but the col...

Calling multiple phones at once
Hello All!
I asked week a so ago about how to call multiple phones alltogether (home, office, cell)
Dial app looks simple, this is kind of what I have now:

IVAN_HOME_OFFICE=SIP/BF8
IVAN_OFFICE=SIP/CFC
IVAN_CELL=SIP/83 at callcentric
[internal]

Another layout question - Layouts on a per method basis - Layouts with AJAX
...the ajax_pagination_links (http://www.bigbold.com/snippets/posts/show/386). However since the layout has already been defined, every time I click on the page number, the entire page including the header is loaded again within my div. I cannot find how I can turn off the layout conditionally or alltogether only for subsequent calls.
Since my @resource_pages collection is retrieved in a method that has a layout defined "globally" how can I turn off the header for subsequent pages only? I hope I am making sense here.
Thank you for making me a part of this wonderful community....

sometimes it is a header file missing alltogether, such as

Asterisk 16.6.1: PJSIP: delayed action of core since update to 16.6.1
...lls we made from wireless/mobile show the same. It seems, asterisk is acting as
a black hole delaying device for approx 10 seconds until it decides to pass the call through
to an endpoint and then it takes another 10 seconds until the endpoint starts ringing (it is
in fact a group of phones ringing alltogether).
I can not see anything unusual with the underlying OS or some critical debug messages from
asterisk itself.
Any ideas?
Kind regards,
O. Hartmann
