Hallo, I m using a script to install docker after a reboot. The script is starting and working. The problem: yum install doesn't work running the script via cron allthough yum remove works. Starting the script manual works fine . Has anyone a hint for me? Certificate system
Hi all, Can anybody inform me wether the "RedHat Certificate System" or actually a CentOS equivalent is available for CentOS. Just skimmed on a download site through the RPM's for 5.3 and I couldn't find it. According to their pressrelease, it the code should be gpl, allthough I can't find any rpm for RH, FC or Centos. It seems that this is one of the few CA-packages for large scale deployment of certificates. Only alternative AFAIK is OpenCA, which seems to be hardly maintained... ( binaries on their site are old, and source code yields lots of errors during build....

Mail delivered, but lost?
Running dovecot 1.2.9 on a Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS virtual machine. Postfix receives messages and hands them over to deliver for local storage. Today two mails came in that could not be found allthough they got delivered. What catches my eye is the "?" in the msgid: Jan 5 21:10:47 mail dovecot: deliver(consulting): msgid=? <14847_1294258245_ZZh0g1h9eLfxL.00_fc2fe6e910f03.4d24de54 at uni-bielefeld.de>: saved mail to INBOX Jan 5 21:27:26 mail dovecot: deliver(consulting): msgid...

use keep state(strict) to mitigate tcp issues?
...blind attack resets and blind data injection attack, cause then you'd have to "guess" the exact expected number. Checpoint has a similar feature (is that right?) which is described here as the answer to the mentioned attacks: http://www.checkpoint.com/techsupport/alerts/tcp_dos.html Allthough this is nice, there is also the risk of breaking connection because it's not unlikely that packets arrive out of order. At least, that's what i think, any thoughts upon this? Bye, Mipam.

problem with listing users on winXP/2k+3

I took some screenshots so anybody that is willing to help me can check out my problem: 1? http://lms.ispgaya.pt/goodies/sambaXP/erro_XP_cant_find.JPG 2? http://lms.ispgaya.pt/goodies/sambaXP/jaam_windows_2000.jpg on the first image we can see a logged in user on my domain (jaam) and, allthough c:\documents and settings\jaam\Desktop got automatically assigned ISPGAYA\jaam as its owner, that user cant be found when we look for it on the domain! (which is pretty stupid and weird). the second image shows us the user "jaam" being found on my domain! (on a windows 2000 professional)...

[LLVMdev] LLVM projects: Change framework
...e IR and marks the functions as beeing dirty. After a detection period, the changes are detected and the functions in question get recompiled and relinked, such that the change is now applied within the application. Every change can be undone. This is done by keeping an undo record of changes (allthough other approaches would seem fit also). The thesis can be found on http://www.prahersoft.com/~jp/da.pdf. Part of the thesis is an extensive documentation of the LLVM framework from a 10000 feet view. This might be interesting to new-comers. The reason why I did not post information on this list,...

[Bug 93065] New: nouveau kernel module needs to increase runpm use counter more often
...uveau at lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: freedesktop at karolherbst.de QA Contact: xorg-team at lists.x.org when the driver goes into an error state (waiting for fifo to unmess itself or other things), where the user just kills the hang process, nouveau decides to suspend the gpu allthough some kworker are inside some while loops and waiting for conditions to be true. Because the card went offline reading stuff through mmio hangs and leaves the kernel in a really strange state, where usb/network/... can just go corrupt. That's why the nouveau driver should add more points where...

Nouveau channel resets userspace handling
Hi everybody, so, I would like us to finally solve the last piece on how to react on channel resets from the kernel side, as this would solve this nasty "Xorg freezes allthough killing the causing application unfreezes it" issue. I have some WIP code which works pretty well if the application isn't listening to vblank events (like glamor or wayland compositors do) and whenever mesa gets notified about a dead channel, it would either simply crash or invoke the ro...

UEFI syslinux PXE boot issues
Hi, I'm used to non-UEFI PXE boot, and I use it for my network installer since forever ago. Looking up how to UEFI PXE boot, I use the syslinux.efi file and allthough it was loaded and stuff, nothing happend after it, I had at least expected the ldlinux64 to be requested from the TFTP server, but nothing. After searching, I noticed someone asking to test the new pre-release, and so I downloaded the 6.04 version. I replaced the syslinux.efi file only, and I...

Rxfax and Txfax on Asterisk 1.4

Allthough the initial configuration is a bit complicated, once you have this running you'll get far better reliability. Kind regards, Ardjan Zwartjes.

problems with w2k and samba PDC
I simply cannot join my domain controlled by a samba PDC (vers. 2.0 or the newest version 2.0.7) with w2k professional. If I try to join the domain a messagebox appears and claims that the particular domain doesn't exist (allthough I know it does!). If one examines the logfiles, it seems as if they don't understand themselves at all.

domain logon
Hello, I have changed the domain on my Win2k machine from a samba 2.2.1a to a 2.2.7 machine. Adding the machine to the new domain went fine and access to shares are ok. With SP1 installed I get the error : Unable to login : netlogon service is not running allthough I can connect to the netlogon share. After I installed SP2, this message goes away but I get a check username/password complaint allthough I can still connect to all shares when I do a local logon. I can provide a level 10 debug if someone is interested. Best regards, Paul Casteels Paul.Casteel...
