I have a UNIX server, running SUNOS 5.5, that keeps dropping of the NT brows list, in all other ways it is working normally. I have found that the only way to bring it back is to reboot the UNIX server. Any ideas? chas

Start and stop the samba server
Is there a good way to stop and restart the samba server... for example to have it re read the smb.conf, without rebooting the actual pc? if I should kill a process should I kill them all ??? if so is there an efficent way to do this? thanks in advance Robert

problem in finding sizes of objects using a for loop

Is there another way of doing the bindings so that the Windows share doesn't run on TCP/IP but will still work with SAMBA? Excel 2000 saving problem
I would appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on a problem we are experiencing. We have a share owned by a a number of users. The problem is that if a user saves a certain file from Excel 2K, and the file already exists, the save will fail, and report that the user will have to rename the temporary save file (which works).
