Lost my menu options again - KDE messes with Gnome?
...em I had a while back. I lost the "Preferences" menu item in my "Applications" menu in Gnome. After much discussion, the following commands got my "Preferences" menu item back, along with all the applications inside of it: rpm -e redhat-artwork redhat-menus --nodeps --allmatches yum install redhat-artwork redhat-menus But... For some reason it isn't working this time. My "Preferences" option in my application menu is gone, and I don't even know why it left. And doing the commands above aren't getting them back. removing multiple packages
Can someone in the list guide me how do I remove an RPM file which is installed 2 times. Noob Question: Uninstalling Firefox rpm's
I want to uninstall the default version of firefox, however there appears to be 2 of the same rpm's installed and its complaining.. I've been in Solaris land for the last 5 years and my rpm skills aren't the most current; how is this achieved? Question about stubborn RPM
Hi, I've made mysqlf a RPM and installed it. After that i did what i shouldn' do: remove the files it installed. Now, i wnat to install it agai and i can't. Already rebuilt the rpm database ( rpm -vv --rebuilddb), used --force, --replacepkgs, --replacefiles, --justdb, --erase, --initdb, but no good. Been at rpm.org, but found nothing that i already know. Yum issue on CentOS 5, x86_64
I just loaded CentOS 5 on a new x86_64 machine I built for my wife.
