GLM FITTED VALUES TABLE
Hi all I have the following generalized linear problem. In a study of allergic responses, patients arriving at a clinic in Groote Schuur hospital were tested for sensitivity to a number of substances. Three of these were moulds: Cladosporium (C), Alternaria (F) and Aspergillius (T). Their level of sensitivity was measured on the Rast Scale as: 0: not allergic...

glm logistic model, prediction intervals on impact af age 60 compared to age 30
Dear R-list. I have done a logistic glm using Age as explanatory variable for some allergic event. #the model model2d<-glm(formula=AEorSAEInfecBac~Age,family=binomial("logit"),data=emrisk) #predictions for age 30 and 60 preds<-predict(model2d,data.frame(Age=c(30,60)),se.fit=TRUE) # prediction interval predsxx<-cbind(fit=preds$fit,lower=preds$fit-1.96*preds$se,upper=p...

And I presume you all are allergic to exceptions, since I have seen none so far (probably due to help the C bindings and such), return error codes all over the place then? If I do any extension on this (short on time, so good chance I cannot, but if I do) the usual non-exception style I use is the return value is a status code, t...

Re: rw1071 - cut and paste bug
...g the Cut or Paste buttons the R Console window does not respond >to keyboard input; the window can be reactivated by switching to another >window and back to the R console. Cutting and pasting via Ctrl-C or >Ctrl-V does not have this problem. By the way, another workaround if you're allergic to the keyboard is to use the right mouse button to bring up the local menu and choose Paste from there; it also seems immune to the speedbutton (not hotkey, as I miswrote in my previous message) bug. That's the normal way I do cut and paste, since the buttons aren't available in SDI mod...

[LLVMdev] LLVM + GCC Integration Proposal
If copyright is assigned to the FSF, would they change the license to GPL? Also, would they be allergic to the VC++ suppport that currently exists? After all, if they're not careful, going down this route may result in a gcc that can be bootstrapped with VC++ :) Chris Lattner wrote: > > FYI: > http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2005-11/msg00888.html > > It remains to be seen how well...

I think that, given a choice, allowing gcc to be bootstrapped with VC++ would b...

...it is. Here's a Google search for hotels in the area: http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wl&q= I can't vouch for anything but the Cypress Hotel, though. I would offer someone a room, but I only have a couch. And I also have cats, so you couldn't be allergic. :-) T-SHIRTS: I'm shocked that I have to bring this up! What are we going to do about t-shirt designs? -bw

Design changes are done in Fedora

My journey was different, I ended up migrating a bunch of most important boxes to FreeBSD. I know how many on this list are already allergic to me saying this, I promise, this is the last time. [LLVMdev] LLVM + GCC Integration Proposal
FYI: http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2005-11/msg00888.html It remains to be seen how well this will be accepted, but it gives some insight on what is being worked on. In any case, this probably won't have a large impact on the LLVM community, other than potentially more people working on it. -Chris -- http://nondot.org/sabre/ http://llvm.org/

Please, read and reply it to me.
How do you do? I am a deaf and I am working at Gallaudet University as IT technician. For troubleshooting computer problem, I fixed over 4000 computers with different CDs such as Windows XP SP2, Dell 32bit Diagnostic Tools, Windows Memory Tester, Acronis True Image, ERD 2005, and others. Everyday, I brought many different CDs to different building for services. Really, I wanted to develop

chainboot Windows on second drive
Hi, I'm new to the list. I've replaced grub by extlinux to multi boot my system. Now, I can't manage to boot one of my systems. I have 5 hard drives, 3 of them being part of a raid0 array, and one of them being here for backup purposes (can be removed). So the total 'logical' drives number is 2. First drive: - primary partition holding a rescue Windows XP system (ntfs) -

[Fwd: Re: Upgrade to 2.3.1 has failed]
...another... :-( What I've done in the meantime is to mount /home/alavarre/Maildir?with sshfs, and then point KMail at it, so I can read and write email without dovecot, but it would be nice to fix it IDC... So maybe the right answer is to try the latest, perhaps in Tumbleweed... I'm usually allergic to self-compiling, I alway seem to find one dependency hell or another, but I'll go ahead and try anyhow. I'll let you know. In the meantime all the failed logins have put me in jail by the provider (Cox Cable) accusing me of being a spammer... :-( But for now I'll go have a gin and t...

How-to question: form creation / different table update
I could use some direction. I need a form to collect information on a user''s allergies. I want to present them with a form much like the one we fill out when we see a new doc where you just check-off the things you''re allergic to. When the form comes back to the controller I want to add a record to a table for each allergy they''ve checked. I was thinking I sho...

Discretize continous variables....
Hi R helpers, I'm preparing dataset to fir logistic regression model with lrm(). I have various cointinous and discrete variables and I would like to: 1. Optimaly discretize continous variables (Optimaly means, maximizing information value - IV for example) 2. Regroup discrete variables to achieve perhaps smaller number of level and better information value... Please suggest if there is

Blacklisting repeated login tries
Please CC jmc AT xisl.com on any reply as I'm not subscribed. We are getting several thousand login tries daily all from the same IP each try. It would be a great help to automatically refuse connections from a given IP after a certain number of failed login attempts. I was thinking of doing that myself but if anyone else is about to do it or has done it please let me know. Thanks. John

Clustering apache
I'm a greenhorn when it comes to clustering in RHEL/CentOS and recently setup an active/standby clustering using Apache & Heartbeat. It seems to be a good entry step into clustering however after testing it I was disappointed in that the resource manager does not start httpd on node2 if httpd on node1 is dead (only starts httpd on node2 if the heartbeat daemon on node1 is dead). Is there
