Aliassing Icecast 2.1 Admin console
Hello, We are searching for a possibility of "aliassing without wasting bandwidth". It is described in the following section which we found at http://open4all.info/ossa/_Icecast_Streaming_Server. # What happens is that when a listeners connects to your server and # requests the /laika stream, then your icecast server will connect # as a client...

Virtual NICs (aliases like eth0:1) won't come up after reboot
With one problem down I still have another remaining. Since the installation of our primairy webserver we have had a problem with the network aliasses. Our server has 8 IP adresses so we used the tool provided in the GUI to specify (and name - for our own convinience) eth0 aliasses with the other 7 adresses. After setting them up, applying them, activating them and restarting 'networking' (I dare say this is a lot of button pushing...

...more info and fix this. Start Active Directory Sites and Services Klik on Sites, Default-First-Site-Name - Server. Your should see you second DC also, if not, you can add it manualy. I dont know the samba-tools commands for this one. In the DNS admin. Go to _msdcs.YOURDOMAIN. Look at the aliasses. These are the names you need in Active Directory Sites and Services You should see also 2 ! aliasses, if you seeing one, this must be fixed first. And ! VERY IMPORTANT !! Under the _msdcs.DOMAINS.. In pdc _tcp here should be ONLY THE PRIMARY DC ! Walk throug the _msdcs for what your miss...

Why : dovecot_destination_recipient_limit = 1 ?
Hi all, I'm trying to activate sieve. In all tutorials I have seen I need to set dovecot_destination_recipient_limit = 1 in Postfix's main.cf. Can anyone explain why ? I like to know because when I set this and the dovecot transport in Postfix, I'm having problems when aliasses are used that map to different recipients, i.e. info at ... results in user1 at ..., user2 at ..., etc. The problems are an error from Postfix : Oct 30 09:25:19 lace3 postfix/pipe[19729]: 8A77E2D5B5B: to=<some.body at some.where.org>, relay=dovecot, delay=2390, delays=2390/0.04/0/0.01,...

feature request/reminder - alias / bootsector
HPA, a longterm reminder. See below. Can you also make a LABEL ignore other labels if no KERNEL statement is found in between? That way you could define multiple aliasses for an entry. label foo label bar label memtest kernel memtestp foo ignores 'label bar' , 'label memtest' and executes 'kernel memtest' bar ignores 'label memtest' and executes 'kernel memtest' memtestp finds a "kernel" keyword and thus can't...

Multiple identities
Hi, I recently moved from courier-imap to dovecot, to be able to work with managesieve. I use version 1.2.5, on suse 10.3. I used the script to migrate the courier maildir to dovecot format. It seems to work fine except for one problem : I use a number of aliasses and with Thunderbird I can select which alias (e-mail-address) to use as my identity when sending a mail. I sniffed with wireshark, and with my standard identity, I see the message appended to "Sent", like I expect. If I use an alias, I see a folder being created : "INBOX.Sent&q...

Integration with AD and mail service
Hi, As of now my mail server is basically postfix. Did anyone succeed integrating the Samba4 AD DC users with any mail daemon ? I was searching for some guide or anything like that but couldn't really find anything "easy". My main questions are: 1) I have several mail domains to host. Can I use all of them with my single DC/DOMAIN ? 2) The usernames are not the same as the email

Confuse, putting packets in wrong mangle table.
Folks, I am a little bit confuse in how to put these packets into correct mangle table for traffic shaping. This is what i ve planned to do: - - - - :eth0 [ LINUX-BOX ] eth1: - - - - Let say: eth0: 220.100.1.1 eth1: 192.168.1.1 eth1:1 192.168.1.2 192.168.1.0/24 get natted into 220.100.1.1 before reaching the internet. I put every packets coming from internet (eth0) this way: # iptables -t

For example there can only be ONE ptr record for an IP, the matching A is the REAL hostname. All others are aliasses and should be CNAMES in the DNS. about samba failover
Hi all, As many of us, I'm trying to find a way to have a failover solution for a Samba domain. The actual choice has been (because of hardware cost) to have only 1 physical xen-based server (ubuntu 14.04) that do (dom0) : - DHCP server (LAN) - NTP server - firewall - proxy - DNS server Then 4 VMs running for: - Samba Domain controller - Samba Domain member (file server) - Apache2 server -
