NHW Codec - new study on 30 images
...the NHW codec).
Visually, I prefer the results of NHW codec on nearly 18 images out of 30
(60%), I find that more neatness is more pleasant, I prefer the results of
x265 on 11 images (35%), more precision is more pleasant, and on 1 image
the result of NHW codec is quite bad (looks terrible, lots of aliaising,
annoying imprecisions).
First, do you agree with these results? Second, is it acceptable that a
codec is better than another in 60% of the cases but perform quite badly in
5% of the cases? I would be very interested in your opinion on this subject.

NHW Project - lower quality settings - high compression
...that I will increase
aliasing and it will become no more acceptable... I have coded a
post-processing function in the NHW decoder that is supposed to remove
aliasing but it doesn't work at all (and I still haven't removed
it...).Would you know an efficient processing, algorithm that removes
aliaising? It would help me a lot!!!
Because the next quality settings could be here: -l3,-l4,-l5,-l6 with
-5Ko,-10Ko,-15Ko,-20Ko corresponding roughly to 1.5bpp->1bpp (for image not
video) with the processings explained above.
Then for the next settings, I could start to increase quantization of the

A hint to start ESS-xemacs
I'm trying to use ESS & xemacs under debian linux testing and KDE.
My problem is that I didn't find any document in the internet explaining a
**step by step** session with R and xemacs.
The (wrong) procedure I follow (to no avail!) is:
1) I start R in a terminal window;
2) I start xemacs and open a file with the extension .R (test.R);
3) I issue M-x R RET and I can see an Rd new
