R for windows 64 bit
...any particular version of R to implement with
windows 64 bit, in such a way to increase the amount of memory it can
use?
How should I increase the memory, and more importantly to set a higher
max vector size? It still stops me saying "Could not allocate vector
of size 145"
thanks to all

sparseM and kronecker product_R latest version
...4 bit windows version)
I got a problem that I never had: when I try to multiply with a
kronecker product (%x%) two sparse matrixes I get the following
message:
Error in dim(x) <- length(x) : invalid first argument
I never had this problem with previous versions of R.
May you help me?
thanks

quantile fixed effects with weights
...procedure for quantile fixed effects. I
would like also to apply weights to the procedure, so that to give
more weight to the observation that better represent my original
sample (much larger than it is possible to use in R). Do you know if
it is possible? How could I solve this problem?
Thank you

motif search
Hi,
I am very new to R and wanted to know if there is a package that, given
very long nucleotide sequences, searches and identifies short (7-10nt)
motifs.. I would like to look for enrichment of certain motifs in
genomic sequences.
I tried using MEME (not an R package, I know), but the online version
only allows sequences up to MAX 60000 nucleotides, and that's too short
for my needs..

problems with rq.fit.sfn
...diagonals replaced with Inf when calling blkfct.
Does anyone knows exactly what does it mean? What's this kind of
error? Should I get worried about this message?
The matrix I use is a full rank matrix (and indeed I do not have any
message about singularity problems).
Many thanks for your help

sparse matrix and block of R
...to continue to run
the program. I thought the problem was the dimension of data, but
people told me they are not so huge. Can you help to understand this
problem? I tried also on other PC's and gives me the same problem. If
the problem is the memory, is there any way to increase it?
many thanks

Any suggestions on what could be causing the error?
