Sins of a Solar Empire sound & font problems

Also, text in-game appears mostly corrupt for me, not large. There are some texts which appear fine, and all others are just random lines.
I am running it on Ubuntu 7.10, with an ATi X1650 card, the latest fglrx drivers, and my sound card is the on-board Realtek ALC888 (or something like that).

What is your audio device? Are you sure it's supported?

Which hardware component causes performance loss (Starcraft)
Hi all,
I would like to know which component needs to be substituted to get a better performance in Starcraft 2.
On windows 7 64 bit I get on highest graphics settings something at 30 fps. On my openSuse 11.3 64 bit system with wine 1.3 and nvidia driver I am only able to reach 18 fps or so.
My PC:
- 6 GB RAM
- Intel E6600 @ 2 x 2.40GHz (only 60% while playing)
- Nvida Geforce 8800 GTS 768 MB

OT: (a) Biostar or MSI mainboard? (b) all Celeron CPU's OK?
...M-L (MS-7366 Ver. 1.0). This one
has NVIDIA GeForce7050 / nForce610i. Video is the NVIDIA GeForce 7050.
I am not sure if it has support for EIDE. For Storage Devices, they
show PATA and SATA. Will either of those support EIDE? I have much
less information about this mainboard. Audio chip is Realtek ALC888.
LAN chip is Realtek 8201CL.
Both of these mainboards are available locally, and I will not need to
order from the states. I am leaning very strongly to the Biostar, and
very interested in comments from anyone with experience with these
boards, which will be much appreciated.
