Win7 clients problem after upgrading samba file server to 4.12 on Arch
Logs are here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/qqwfkf3rsuv081k/logs.tar.gz/file 1. I have stopped smb and nmb services, 2. deleted all samba logs, 3. addied 'log level - 10' to smb.conf, 4. started services, 5. performed few tests until some problems appeared, 6. stopped smb and nmb services 7. and grabbed all logs. As this is test environment - nothing to sanitize. All logs unchanged. For

Win7 clients problem after upgrading samba file server to 4.12 on Arch
@Rowland, Installing and changing to LTS kernel 5.4.38-1-lts doesn't help. Downgrading samba and smbclient to 4.11.3 DOES help. @Andrew, let me first clean up with kernel/samba versions, set log level to 10 and log limit to 0, delete all logs and repeat the whole exercise. Please advice how to get a network capture, I am not that expert... Regards, Pawel. pon., 4 maj 2020 o 22:50 Andrew

Win7 clients problem after upgrading samba file server to 4.12 on Arch
@Andrew, Samba master - what do you mean? A clean compile and install from genuine samba.org sources? As a matter of fact, I was thinking about it.... Let me do the tests now, with tcpdump. Will send some logs and outputs later on. You've asked previously - this is the smbstatus, already on the latest kernel/samba versions. The problem is persistent, no wonder... [root at arch1 /]#

[PATCH] forwarding environment vars ala RFC2026
I have coded a patch witch allows to forward environment variables from the client to the server. To specify forwarding in your ssh client add the option ForwardEnv varname # forward varname with value # as in environment of the # ssh client. If variable is # not defined in the environment # of the ssh client nothing will # be forwarded. ForwardEnv varname=value # forward

Multiple streams/window sizing options ala BBFTP?
This must get asked all the time, but I didn't see any results from a search in the archive, so... Are there any plans to integrate features such as using configurable, multiple streams, or configurable window sizes? Something like BBFTP or GridFTP features would be nice - is anyone working on this? Rsync is much more feature-rich than either, but they do have a few nice features in

Quota warning message ala courier
I have to face it, my users are retards: * either they're using crap MUAs which will not display their quota to them * or they're using POP with "leave mail on server" and will never notice their quota, unless it's too late * and once their quota is exceeded, their mails will bounce -- they'll never notice that, though. Thus I need a feature in dovecot that will

Importing a SAS file to R: Alas, STILL more problems--has anyone gotten this message before, and why
Sorry to write twice in one day--I am a relative newbie to some of these parts of R, and I am pulling my hair out! B/c I am preparing a file to use WINBUGS I am cross-posting to the BUGS group as well, in case anyone there has some ideas on this. I've got a large SAS dataset that I want to put in R form to more easily use the file with the hierarchical modeling software WINBUGS. It has
