Dovecot 1.2.9. next_uid was lowered

Since it happens quite seldom, there must be other conditions or circumstances that have to be met for the problem to occur. Unfortunately I don't know which.
Shortly after the mail gets delivered on server2, I get the following errors on server1:
mail01 dovecot: IMAP(akzidenz at triner.ch): fdatasync(/data/vmail/example.com/user/dovecot-uidlist) failed: Input/output error

folders with veto files not being deleted

I have some files vetoed:
veto files = /.rssrc/.desktop/
I'm not using 'hide dot files'.
If I have a folder with one file in, and that file is a vetoed file, I
cannot delete the folder. I have unix permissions to delete both. The
windows error message is:
Cannot remove folder Akzidenz: The file exists.
This is rather annoying. I have tried setting 'delete veto files' to true,
but it has no effect.
