most probably the server you're sending to is not reading the stream
you're sending... are you sure your server settings are correct? (e.g.
port, password, etc?)

Akos...Darkice questions
This is probably sacrilegious to speak of Shoutcast here but that's what I am streaming to right now. Just a couple questions about Darkice...
quality is set to 0.5 by default. What's the range for this and what kind of effect does it have on the audio and the load on the system?
I've set the "public" variable to yes so it will advertise to Shoutcasts directory but

So is there any legal way of catching dynamic_cast problems? Maybe dyld_interposing? I'd like to avoid replacing all dynamic_casts with another call if possible (because there are several hundreds of those calls).
Thanks in advance, Akos

[LLVMdev] RTTI handling
John,
The version from the Xcode 4.2 GM package (Apple clang version 3.0 (tags/Apple/clang-211.10.1)) still has the same problem. Which version should I use?
Thanks, Akos

DarkIce not at the moment, though as of 0.8 you can save all what is
sent to the server in a local file.

metadata update in the stream
...through the protocol with which
the data is sent to icecast?
At the moment, the only place I put meta data into is when the source
logs in to the icecast server. There, in the header, there is a
possibility to put metadata. But this persists throughout the stream.
How do I change it?

security mask for extended ACL permissions / change of create mode for Samba
Dear All,
I manage a Debian Squeeze GNU/Linux (with kernel 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP)

[LLVMdev] How to check Apple's LLVM build number?
Happy New Year to everyone!
I'm trying to track whether this bug: http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project?revision=163923&view=revision has been fixed in the Apple LLVM version we use:
Apple LLVM version 4.2 (clang-425.0.28) (based on LLVM 3.2svn)
Any ideas how I can check that?
Thanks,
Ákos Somorjai

[LLVMdev] RTTI handling
Apple clang version 3.0 (tags/Apple/clang-211.9) (based on LLVM 3.0svn)
Target: x86_64-apple-darwin10.8.0
It's part of the Xcode 4.2b7 package.
Shall I try to compile it on my own?
Thanks, Akos
