problems with quantreg installation

Install R 2.0 package on R 1.9.1
...erpc-apple-darwin6.6/3.4 which doesn't exist. I'm
not sure where it is getting that from. I can only guess that autoconf or
something is messed up on this machine:

trouble installing packages
...tall some packages (even some of the recommended
packages), especially those that use f77, on an SGI.
Here's what happens:
fry: R CMD INSTALL quantreg_3.09.tar.gz
* Installing *source* package 'quantreg' ...
** libs
/tmp/R.INSTALL.2975859/quantreg/src
f77 -OPT:IEEE_NaN_inf=ON -g -c akj.f -o akj.o
... and there it hangs. I tried using MAKE=/usr/bin/make and
MAKE=gmake; that makes no difference. Don't know what else to try.
If I try to work through this a step at a time, here's what happens:
${R_HOME}/bin/SHLIB -o quantreg.so *.f
.. and everything compiled like a dr...

how to convert list of matrix (raster:extract o/p) to data table with additional colums (polygon Id, class)

Installing quantreg package under Ubuntu
Does any have installation instructions for this? When I run
install.packages('quantreg') I get:

Kernel Density estimation at specific points
Dear All,
I was wondering whether someone has created a kernel density evaluator that
estimates the density at given specified points.
The regular density() function evaluates the kernel at equidistant points,
but I am interested in doing such evaluation along a list of values
existing in a pre-specified vector. (Similar to the option at() in the
kdensity command in Stata).
