3.0.27a, ubuntu server7.10 auth issues
I have upgraded to version 3.0.27a on ubuntu 7.10 server and now the getent command wont display the active directory users, but wbinfo will. It worked fine with 3.0.26a and I have not changed my configuration. I do however have this in my winbind log: [2007/12/04 13:39:01, 0] nsswitch/winbindd.c:request_len_recv(544) request_len_recv: Invalid request size received: 2084 (expected

[Bridge] bridge_list orphans in linux-2.4
Hi all, We use linux-2.4.20 in one of our products and we've found what looks to be a problem in the bridge module. (I know this is old code but we don't send our customers kernel upgrades unless we really have to!) The problem is that some of our bridges have become orphaned from the bridge module. Specifically ifconfig ourbridgename shows that the device "ourbridgename"

Help with multiple subnets
I have two subnets in may LAN 192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24. Both subnets go out to the Internet through a Linux box acting as a gateway, so the gateway has one interface in each subnet (192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1). In both subnets I have Windows and Linux machines and I want to configure SMB networking using a workgroup (not a domain), so one workgroup for more than one subnet. I know that

Samba logfile rotation on AIX
I am running a Samba server version 3.0.23d on AIX and I am trying to figure out how to rotate the Samba logs daily. I know the logfile can be rotated based on size but how can I make it rotate daily without the size parameter? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Maurice Forte

yeah, apparently .bss has a flag of unitialized data that is not being respected on the layout of the coff files (it should skip those sections) but I dunno what to do with .data as it doesn't have a size. SS7 E1 cards
Hi, I'm looking into support for SS7 and I found an article (http://www.openss7.com/news13022002.html) which says that OpenSS7 supports Linux Support Inc's T400P-SS7 Quad T1 and E400P-SS7 Quad E1 PCI interface cards. It also says that Linux Support Inc is the primary sponsor of Asterisk. However I cannot find these cards on the Asterisk hardware page

dumpbin has some clues. I ran dumpbin /all on both object files and diffed the results. In the good object file, Section #2 (.data) has File Pointer to Raw Data = 208, but in the bad file Section #2 (.data) has File Pointer to Raw Data = 0. Also, Section #3 (.bss) in the good file has Size of Raw Data = 4, but in the bad file Section #3 (.bss) has Size of Raw Data = 0. On Fri, Jan 26, 2018 at

SIP - how does * decide codec order of preference
Hi, I'm a bit confused about how Asterisk decides in which order of preference it should list the different codecs in its SDP message during SIP call setup. In my sip.conf [general] section I've got disallow=all allow=gsm allow=ulaw allow=alaw But when Asterisk bridges a call from an E1 to VoIP it sends out an INVITE with the codecs listed in the following order of preference

DTMF relay
Hi, I've noticed that asterisk seems to stop relaying DTMFs after a call has been up for a while (~10 mins). I was just wondering whether this was intentional, or a bug. In detail here's my setup SIP Gateway --> Asterisk --> E1 --> Asterisk --> SIP Gateway The LHS gateway sends RFC2833 DTMF messages to the first Asterisk which bridges them onto the E1. They then get

NTLMv2 passthrough auth fails on XP
I have an interesting situation. I'm not sure if Samba doesn't support this, or if I have something setup wrong. All Linux/BSD machines: Samba 3.0.10 Windows XP cannot connect to a Samba Server when the Samba server is a member of a Samba Domain, and authentication is restricted to NTLMv2 _IF_ The Windows XP machine has the following Security Policy turned on: Network security:

tc usage
Dear List, I am a tc newbie, and I''ve been working through the LARTC HOWTO to try to understand how qdiscs, classes, and filters fit together. I was confused by the example in section 9.5.5.1 (see excerpt below). I thought that classes were could only be attached to qdiscs (classful ones). In the example, however, classes are being attached to other classes. Can anybody explain to me

Is Samba PDC + NT4 DOM Trust using NTLMv2 possible?
My Question: ------------ Is it possible to get 2-way Interdomain Trust relationships working between a Samba domain and an NT4 SP6a domain, while restricting all password hashes to NTLMv2 only? Everything works except the inter-domain trust I'm able to get the NT4 domain to trust the Samba domain, but not the other way around. My System: ---------- I have a perfectly running Samba domain
