fxo/fxs cards with 8 ports
we have got asterisk 1.0 (over 1 yrs old) version and very old zaptel
version. That code is working only with 8 or less ports (accumulative) on
digium fxs/fxo cards (2 cards with 4 ports each).
the questoin is, what if we want 12 ports?..well, really, i don't understand
the limitations? is it simply zaptel driver code fix? or kernel fix? or
technology limitation? donno any tips would

Can anyone point out some AIX specific downloads for Puppet AIX -
rpms, source, etc - also any docs???

Asterisk Newbie
Hello all
I have been learning * from almost 1 month now. It looks really powerfull. I
have some problem trying to find previous post, or solutions to common
problems, advice to newbies etc in this mailing list. There is no a
forum-like tool to search thru the posts by keyworks for example. Please
correct me if I am wrong.

Will Echo problems EVER be solved, I'm scared
I came into this with my eyes wide open. I have read ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING
there is to be found on the net about avoiding echo problems BEFORE I even
attempted to create a production system. Since lots of people are
apparently using this in production environments now I just assumed that
echo IS avoidable.
As others have recommended, I created a test system with the proposed

Instant Messaging: with SIP or XMPP
well,
My fulltime job is to add (i.e code if have to) some instant msging to our
asterisk pbx. I have no idea, where to start. i want contribute write code,
test etc. pls advice.
there is SIP extension method called "MESSAGE" which get IM done. Does
Asterisk support both SIMPLE and XMPP. thanks
