Help with SWAT
Hello all, I just installed 3.0.24 in AIX5.3 using installp binaries. The install went well, and I can connect to shared directories from Windows. When I try to log in to the SWAT tool, it does not accept the password of any userid that I try with, including root. I don't recall having to do anything special to use SWAT on my older servers running SAMBA 2.2.8. I have added the following

Samba Problem on AIX
I've been running Samba3.0.21a on two AIX5.3 servers for several weeks with no major problems. Today, one of the servers stopped working. I received the following message from Windows when I tried to access one of the share drives: An error occurred while reconnecting T: to \\wara01\TSMreports Microsoft Windows Network: This local device name is already in use This connection has not

Connection gets closed after just a few seconds "smbd/service.c:close_cnum(1150)"

Depending on how I map the share (using: \\[IP, hostname or FQDN]\[sharename]) then the connection to the server is closed after just a few seconds of inactivity. The server runs on AIX5.3 with the latest fixpack. The client is Win XP SP2. I'm currently using 3.0.22 on our production server and don't have this
