APM is disabled (this laptop doesn't support it), and disabling ACPI is no solution, because it controls the fan. Kernel version is 2.6.9-11.EL and CPU is Pentium Centrino. Laptop is an AIRIS 840. I have a machine with a recent install of centos (2.6.32-220.2.1.el6.x86_64 kernel). It crashed 3 times this week, and sent emails like the one below complaining about kernel taint.
