Repository server down? (Friday 28 August)
Earlier today I ran an update and got an error message that apt-get couldn't connect to the WINE repository, and http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/ currently gives a Page Load Error. Anyone else having a problem with this? I need my WINE so I can get my Warcraft fix!

Problem with user type on 0.20.1... uses group "absent"

I followed the instructions on Mike Clark''s weblog and everything works perfectly except the thumbnail column in my DB is alwas NULL. I''m using S3 as my storage system. Advocating RoR in the enterprise?
Hi folks, I''m looking for advice on how to promote RoR in my workplace. Specifically, I''d like to work out a strategy for promoting development in Rails as a new alternative to our existing technology (the usual suspects... mostly Java/Oracle, .NET, PHP, and a bit of Perl here and there). Some background: I work for a fairly large state environmental agency as a web developer.
