onboard adaptec SAS RAID controller not seeing drive(s)
I have a Supermicro SuperServer 6025B-3V with their X7DB3 mobo. It
has an onboard Adaptec SAS RAID controller and has been configured
as a RAID1 with two Seagate Cheetah 15k.4 disks. Original attempts at
installing CentOS4.4 x86_64 appeared to load the aic94xx driver, but then
reported something like "No hard drives found...". I grabbed the x86_64
aacraid driver disk from Adaptec (updated 23 OCT 2006) and tried a
"linux dd" install. Although the driver disk appears to load, I still
get the
"No hard drives found.." message...

>And without a RAID Array, only a Simple Disk?
Yes, it's a 10K RPM SATA WD Raptor drive. As single disks come, they're
pretty fast.
>Maybe a Problem with the RAID Controller or your Bussystem?
Very possibly, although I think it's a problem with the AIC94xx driver in
the kernel. Since my RAID array is actually running slightly slower than
my single disk, it's probably either the driver, or possibly the
controller card itself, as you suggested.

Supermicro Adaptec AIC-9410 HostRAID controller
...Linux/Redhat/adpahci.rhel5.i686.img
After successfully loading the image and inserting the module using
kickstart, nothing useful happens, other than several /sys entries
added. (NOTE: I had to change the internal cpio archive pathing from
`2.6.18-8.el5' to `2.6.18-128.el5').
2nd driver: aic94xx -- Unsuccessful
The driver is built-in via a patch to the Redhat stock kernel.
Other than saying that it's loaded, it also does nothing useful outside
of /sys entries. Several mailing lists and documents pointed to using
the 'attach_HostRAID' option, however, it doesn't exist. U...

Build kernel 2.6.32.19 with
1. CONFIG_DRM_RADEON=y
2. Drivers->Staging Drivers-> Enable modesetting on radeon by default <*>
( otherwise KMS switches to userspace modesetting )
Whatever option like --add , --install i tried with dracut. initramfs been uncompressed

Maximum samba file transfer speed on gigabit...
Ok so maybe someone can explain this to me. I've been banging my head
against the wall on this one for several weeks now and the powers that be
are starting to get a little impatient. What we've got is an old FoxPro
application, the FoxPro .dbf's being stored on a Linux fileserver using
Samba (Fedora 3 currently, using Fedora 5 on the new test server). We're
having speed
