Does anyone (*ahem* Rich) already have a yum repo with upstream libguestfs rpms for RHEL/CentOS7?
Obviously due to the heavy development, the packages in RHEL7 (even
7.2) lack tons of things. I'm specifically interested in virt-builder
and wondering if there's a preview repo that I'm not aware of. ...?

Plotting FAQ?
Hi,
Since I started to make some 'final' plots of my data I found that I
have tons of questions related to 'the little things'. Rather than
bother the list with all the questions (ahem), or search the archives
for similar questions and translate the context, I would like to find a
FAQ for plotting in particular (and R programming in general). I know
for sure (searching the list) that my questions have been answered many
times and in many different contexts, however, I can'...

Ahem, i've typed '--comploxity'... sorry... OK, option is available in
samba-tool in 4.2, but does not seems to work:

Password complexity deactivated!

Maybe this adds to the confusion: that he has to make decisions
("Where do I want the c-front end to live?") --- and at the same
time the new user is, ahem, 'new', so he can't see the
implications of such a decision.
Maybe a cook-book-receive would be more helpful. Don't present
options to the user, but give him a 'quick' result to work with.

Subsetting a data.frame degenerates at one column?
Greetings.
At the moment, I'm applying R to some AIX 'nmon' output, trying to get
a handle on some disk performance metrics. In case anyone's
interested:
http://docs.osg.ufl.edu/tsm/pdf/
some of them are more edifying than others. (ahem)
I'm trying to develop a somewhat general framework for plotting these
measures, in the hopes that it's of some use to people other than me.
One obstacle I encounter is that, when I select one column out of a
data.frame, the result is no longer a data.frame. So, say I've got,
in data...

manipulating facter variable
...207.2
What I need is the second group of digits. If it''s 84 then location is
A, but if it''s 85 then location is B.
In puppet I couldn''t grab this second set of digits, but maybe there
is a way?
I''ve already tried to make a custom fact, but my ruby knowledge is
*ahem* pretty basic.
So far I''ve only managed to manipulate a string with chop!, but that
really isn''t the way.
Regular expressions in Ruby are a bit of a mystery to me....
Ideas anyone?

A possible way to reduce basic questions

The traffic on r-help could be reduced by creating a second list where
more elementary questions are asked.
There may be other ways to partition the universe of questions as well.

This somewhere started in 4.6.
These changes where needed due to security leaks.

[LLVMdev] mc jit
...MCJIT is currently a duplicate of test/ExecutionEngine, which runs the tests with MCJIT. So it already runs every time you "make check" (on build-bots too!). The duplication is unfortunate, but hopefully temporary - once the LIT SUBTEST patch gets in (it's been in review for ages now, ahem ;-) ) it should be gone and each test in test/ExecutionEngine will just be run twice - with old JIT and MCJIT.

When I tested ARM before LLVM 3.1 released, I was told that mcjit is enabled
by default on x86, on ARM I need to switch to mcjit manaully. Is that right?
I am confused here. :)

Ahem, probably we have two different concept of 'simple'. ;-)
For me, doing LDAP queries is the last resort.
Anyway, thanks...

Ahem, no: i meant adding to winbind nss library the support for the
'shadow' context, so i suppose this means adding some sort of
''transcoding'' between expiration data in AD and in POSIX worlds.
