Socket problems. . .
...opped at several different spots with errors that I don't
understand, the last one was Error 2, this during the compile stage.
However, what I'm trying to figure out now is what the fuck is this
socket thing? When I try to run wine I get the following error message:
wine: lstat /tmp/.wine-aharris/server-301-829b5/socket : No such file or
directory
I've tried creating a blank file in that spot, but that gives me this
error:
wine: '/tmp/.wine-aharris/server-301-829b5/socket' is not a socket
What is a socket and how do I put one in the appropriate spot?
Thanks in advance. :-...

Idealx script prerequisites?
I'm trying to setup a PDC (and later on a BDC as well) using samba
3.02a and openLDAP 2.2.13 and I'm having some trouble with the idealx
scripts. When I run the command /usr/local/sbin/smbldap-useradd alex I
get the message:

forgot to load "Net::LDAP"?) at

access the server through network neighborhood I get the error message
that is in the title of this email, what are the possible causes for this?
I've got encrypt passwords set to no when this happens. If I change
that setting to yet, I get a

I'm having two problems in the testing phase of the installation, one is
