matrix similarity comparison
Good morning to you all, I have a problem with a set of matrices that I want to compare. I want to see the similarity between them, and to be able to extract the differences between them. They have all the same number of columns and rows, and correspond presence absence data: for example: m1 <- matrix(c(1,0,0,0,1,0,1,1,1,1,1,1), 3,4) m2 <- matrix(c(1,0,1,0,1,0,0,1,0,1,0,1), 3,4) I

El problema lo he buscado bastante en internet y he visto algo similar en reiteradas ocasiones pero a pesar de ello y de instalar las librerías sugeridas persiste el error. problems with memory in Mac
Dear friends, I am having some doubts about the amount of memory that is being used by R in my Mac (MacBook Pro, 2Gig). Is there a way to increase the amount of memory used? When I type: > mem.limits() the result is: nsize vsize NA NA and I can't change it, tough my computing in R isn't using all the memory at it's disposal. Best regards, Carlos -- Carlos GUERRA

suggestions for ANOVA which includes the "year" as a factor
Dear R Fundation, I am a post-doc researcher at the University of Pisa, Italy. I apologize for my english and I have to tell you in advance that I am a very beginner with R. I used R for fitting dose-response curves (drc package) and for an ordinary ANOVA (one, two or three factors), including the post-hoc mean comparison (I used the LSD test...). Now I have to process some simple data on

Off topic:Spam on R-help increase?
Folks: In the past 2 days I have seen a large increase of spam getting into R-help. Are others experiencing this problem? If so, has there been some change to the spam filters on the R-servers? If not, is the problem on my end? Feel free to reply privately. Thanks. Bert Gunter Genentech Nonclinical Statistics South San Francisco, CA 94404 650-467-7374

visualize TukeyHSD results
I am a new R user but a long time SAS user. I searched for a response to this question but no luck, so forgive me if this topic has been covered before. I am running a TukeyHSD post hoc test after running an ANOVA. I get the results of all pairwise comparisons, no problem. However, the output table is a little "busy", and I'd like to make the output easier to read. Specifically, I
