Hi all, I am migrating a Samba 3 domain from an ageing server to a new server. I've exported all users from the old server and imported them on the new server using the following command (LDAP to TdbSam): pdbedit -i ldapsam:ldap://127.0.0.1 -e tdbsam:/tmp/tdbsam.agix scp /tmp/tdbsam.agix new.server.local:/etc/samba/passdb.tdb I've set the same SID on the new server. Windows7 workstations have no issues with this change. But WindowsXP just won't play along. The WindowsXP workstations state that the password is wrong. But the Samba logs show the proces...

...right now. They essentially say "authentication failed" and "NT_..._ACCESS_DENIED". I did try using "authconfig" to join the domain but it failed. Hence the "net rpc join..." command. Hi all, If I use a SIP softphone and set to gsm codec clearly I get a 8K sample... if I change that to something like opus I get a much better sounding input... How do I get a "better" than 8K sampled input ? I "desire" to have that input be from a pipe. Hi! Is there a way to use an external LDAP server with Samba4 (eg. openldap) to authenticate users or alternatively to sync Samba's internal LDAP with other services like Radius? ...I have not configured Kerberos at this point. I have not identified consistent time intervals for these 'drop-outs'. I have not updated (YUM) these systems between the joining and dropping from the domains. Hi Dmitriy and others and thanks for your help so far. The option "match_auth_username=yes" seems to have had no effect. From my reading, this option will try to match the username of the incoming SIP account to a section heading. If that is how it must work then i can see a big problem. I'm trying to present the receptionist with a nice display of which line the call came in on.
