grep searching for sequence of 3 consecutive upper case letters
Hello, I need to identify all elements which have a sequence of 3 consecutive upper case letters, anywhere in the string. I tested my grep expression on this site: http://regexlib.com/RETester.aspx But when I try it in R, it does not filter anything. str <-c("AGH", "this WOUld be good", "Not Good at All") str[grep('[A-Z]{3}',str)] #looking for a sequence of 3 consecutive upper case letters [1] "AGH" "this WOUld be good" "Not Good at All" Any idea? ...e increases from 0 to ~2MB - so something writes to the original volume in a ro mode - possibly a log replay. Is is normal for the xfs mount to replay a log after a clean unmount? Agh, this is annoying. Why is this happening?
My problem: Mock ''Task_1005'' received unexpected message :user_id= with (1) No matter what I do to try to stub that out it will still fail out and give me that message. Here is my spec describe TasksController, "handling POST /tasks" do before(:each) do @task = mock_model(Task, :to_param => "1", :save => true)

BSD-licensed IDS/IDP Software?
I seem to remember seeing somewhere (on this list/on the web -- don't remember) that there was some ``Snort-like'' software that was available under the BSD license. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find any information about such software. Was I dreaming, or can anybody else jog my memory? :) Kind regards, Devon H. O'Dell

ext3 heavy file fragmentation with NFS write
Hello, Does anybody know how to avoid the file fragmentation when a file is created over NFSv3? A file created locally is OK: dd bs=32k if=/dev/zero of=test count=32x1024 conv=fsync filefrag test test: 10 extents found, perfection would be 9 extents When I create the file in the same dir, but from another machine, mounted over NFS: filefrag test test: 4833 extents found, perfection would be

flash.keep not working with render_component
Using Rails 1.1.2 and ruby 1.8.4 I''m having a weird issue with the flash when using render_component for an action inside different controller than the one from which you render. I''m passing an object via flash across a couple of actions (new and create) behind the scenes using flash.keep(:object). It works fine if the component I''m rendering is in the same

Stemmer in Xapian, some questions from student.
Hello, I am student from University of Science and Technology in Cracow. I would like to ask you some questions about Xapian, because it is one of few search engines I am testing. 1. What type of stemmer is used in Xapian? Are You able to write some important features applied to Xapian? 2. We must use stemming for polish language. I read on Your webpage what languages include Xapian. There is no

Cannot get LD_LIBRARY_PATH to work under NX (freenx)
Hello, I'm trying to get the LD_LIBRARY_PATH set from .bash_profile (Centos 5.3 fully updated). This is a part of my .bash_profile: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/home/szyman/omnet/omnetpp-2.3p1/lib export R_HISTSIZE=2000000000 Everything works fine under standard ssh login, but under NX client the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable is missing (the R_HISTSIZE is exported properly). Old SAMBA and WinXP....
Ok, here's a simple question, (I just rejoined this list so apologies if it has been asked a million times before). Our Company runs SAMBA 1.9-18p1 from a USS (Unix System Services) on an IBM Mainframe. I used to have WinNT 4.0, and I could access Files on Windows Explorer through SAMBA with no problems. Now I updated one of my workstations to WinXP Pro., and - no access to the Samba

Fwd: Re: cwRsync got killed...
A bit late, but someone (anonymous) provided a link to download. the md5 is correct, it matches the last sourceforge state. And the md5 and sha256 mentioned at https://www.itefix.no/i2/node/12862 - before he gave up the project. MD5 c787dfa854775793d1a1b5c3502b57b5 sha256 5abeec588e937bd749456ddb347e4116b0f8407e15f412281fc64c763d1de62d For obvious reasons you should check the md5 / sha256 after
