Cleaning out wine for bricscad afresh
I have decided that the best course of action for me to get BricsCAD running on my system ( Mandriva2005LE - essentials updated ) is to clean my system of wine and start afresh. I have uninstalled wine and associated programs ( crossXover - winetools - xwine ) but upon updating my database ( slocate -u ) I still see heaps of entries for wine. eg. /usr/local/lib/wine /home/frank/Install/dotwine/setup /home/frank/UNSUPPORTED/dotwine /tmp/.wine-500 and many others thoug...

Help on creating custom financial time series graphs
...ny now level function calls to the GDI etc, and is very tightly wedded to the Win2k windowing system. I notice however, that most of the graphing functionality in R (at least on the Windows OS) is handled by GraphApp This is the dillema I face: Do I scrap the existing code and start from "afresh" (Please don't say yes to this ! ;0) How Can I "merge" my code into R with the minimum of fuss ? If I have to start from afresh, I would like to know how easy it is to draw/create graphs in R. Many thanks in advance _________________________________________________________...

Migrate tdbsam to LDAP - issues?
...d I need to move to an LDAP backend. I only have two boxes at my disposal so I'm hoping I can run Samba PDC and master LDAP on one and Samba BDC and slave LDAP on the other. I figure I should set up the second box as a master LDAP, transfer the accounts from the original box, then I can start afresh with the old machine and make it into a BDC/slave LDAP. Is that even possible? Has anyone done this, and did you run into any issues? Thank you Paul

NFS insanity
Hi all, I've got some insanity with mounting an NFS share that before reloading my workstation afresh worked perfectly, but now refuses to mount. Actually there are two servers with shares mounted. (1) Mandrake 10.0 file server - two shares - mount perfectly (2) Fedora Core 3 - one share - can't mount to save my life! My workstation is CentOS 4. I reloaded it to get rid of the FC3 installati...

CentOS 7 + NVidia Quadro 2000 graphic card
Le 10/11/2017 ? 14:42, Nux! a ?crit : > Did you play with nvidia-settings? Maybe also wipe out xorg.conf and > start afresh. Thanks for all your suggestions. I spent a few hours fiddling with various driver versions and configurations. In the end, I simply ripped out the %&#@$ Quadro card and replaced it with a GeForce 8300, which works perfectly with the kmod-nvidia-340xx driver. Cheers, Niki -- Microlinux - S...

updating samba/ldap: do I need new attributes?
...is is on FreeBSD. My idea is : 1) slapcat the openldap server and save the various tdb files. 2) deinstall samba and openldap and wipe out the bdb files 3) install the newer versions 4) slapadd to the new openldap server This seems to work in my test lab. During my tests I also built a new domain afresh and realized that the sambaDomainName ldap entry has some attributes that are not in my production server: sambaMinPwdLength, sambaLogonToChgPwd, sambaLockoutDuration, sambaLockoutObservationWindow, sambaLockoutThreshold, sambaForceLogoff. Do I have to add these attributes to my ldif file before...

Wine RPM and Mandriva 2007
Dear All I have had only partial success with Wine and now I am approaching it afresh with Mandriva 2007-0. I have ensured their is no version already installed from the distribution and I have downloaded wine-0.9.46-mdv2007.0.i586.rpm. I do not know what to do after this. The user guide is not clear enough for an inexperienced user. In fact the only thing it says is: "2...

Squid to Cache RPMs from yum (was: forcing yum ...)
...fferent mirrors every time. > > Aha. I thought I had it set for no file limit, but I guess using different mirrors is what is confounding me. So squid will cache a specific file from a specific site, I guess? And even if it tries to get the exact same file elsewhere, it will re-download it afresh? -- ?Don't eat anything you've ever seen advertised on TV? - Michael Pollan, author of "In Defense of Food"

IPSec tunnel mode, through a IPIP tunnel
...Create a routing rule and add the new rule ip rule add fwmark 1 table tunnel 4. Create routing entries for table ''tunnel'' ip route add 172.19.58.200 dev tunl0 Well, all this assumes that once the packet enters the ipsec tunnel, after encapsulation the packets are routed afresh based on the routing tables. Could the gurus help me fix this!!! Thanks, Prasad

Random seed not reset when starting R (PR#11089)
...t when starting R again. When R starts with a [Previously saved workspace restored] it seems that the .Random.seed variable is already set. If you quit R (and don't save your workspace) the next time you start R .Random.seed will be set to the same value again. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start R afresh and type runif(1) 2. Quit R and do not save workspace 3. Start R again (make sure a previous workspace was restored) type runif(1) again, this will be the same "random" number as before. >From documentation on .Random.seed " Initially, there is no seed; a new one is create...

GSoC 2016 - Introduction
...to the cluster centroid). Is this the best fit? 4) For parameters in K-means and PSO, default values can be set which can be overridden in a special use case? 5) There is already a clustering branch that was created before. Do I have to continue work with the existing implementation or do I start afresh? Currently I'm looking at the previous clustering branch and the test API and getting used to the things I am not familiar with in the codebase. Once I am confident, I'll go ahead with a simple test for the clustering as you suggested. Thanks -------------- next part -------------- An HTM...

Icecast 2.0 in OS X Server?
...e it's me. I wiped out my whole /var/libvorbis directory, dropped in a new one from the libvorbis-1.0.1.tar.gz file including all the subdirectories, and edited /var/libvorbis/examples/Makefile.fm as instructed. I then ran ./configure without difficulty, then ran make again, which started afresh but still ended up with the same error: gcc -DDARWIN -fno-common -force_cpusubtype_ALL -Wall -g -O4 -ffast-math -fsigned-char -DUSE_MEMORY_H -static -o decoder_example decoder_example.o ../lib/.libs/libvorbis.a -lm /usr/local/lib/libogg.a ld: can't locate file for: -lcrt0.o make[1]: *** [de...

RData loading weirdness
...ing load(".RData") worked fine. There were his objects. How strange. I deleted the first 200 objects, saved the .RData, and retried. That worked, so I thought it might have been an object in the last 200 or so. So I saved them to .RData. Starting up with that worked. So, starting afresh with the original load(".RData"), I saved two .RData files with each part. Quit, start again, load("part1.RData") and load("part2.RData"), then quit and save. Now I had all 400-ish objects in one .RData. Time to start R and see if it can startup with it. And it d...

VS2005 Command Line interface
Please forgive me if this is covered elsewhere. I did a lot of searches but could not find anything pertaining to what I would like to do. I am developing a product using C/C++ for which the end customer has settled on Visual Studio 2005. I am able to build on my Mac with GNU tools for development and testing but deliverables must be built with VS2005. I am currently using VMWare Fusion but
