I added a hosts deny line to above and denied one specific ip address. I then deleted that line but added hosts allow and made this equal to any ip address within previous "denied ip address's subnet. However, the afore-mentioned ip was still denied and I had to allow it individually. Can anyone tell me why. Okay, not sure why this seems to be the cause of the problem, but, for the record, whenever I have the following lines under my [global] section in smb.conf, I am unable to log into the domain with the afore mentioned error. There are 3 variables firm, begindt, enddt. # of values for each varies month to month.
