Paper on Speex and Vorbis
...ll,
This should please all those who want to know more about Speex or
Vorbis. Monty and I have just finished writing this paper: "Improved
Noise Weighting in CELP Coding of Speech - Applying the Vorbis
Psychoacoustic Model To Speex" which you can get at:
http://people.xiph.org/~jm/papers/aes120_speex_vorbis.pdf
It's probably the best description of the Speex encoder to data and it
has a lot of details about the Vorbis psycho-acoustic model. For those
who actually want to try the improvement described in the paper, just
configure Speex with --enable-vorbis-psy .

documentations
Hello!
I'd like to know if there's a documentation about Speex besides that on the
website (Speex manual and API reference manual). I take an interest in some
detail concerning the code and the internal structure of the codebook because
I'd like to modify the VQ. It's very difficult to understand how the routines
collaborate without a flow diagram o some comment.
Please, help me!

Vorbis psychoacoustic model
Hello,
I'd like to know there is any place (web, document...) where I can see which
the vorbis' psychoacoustic model is, at least for the reference encoder (how
it works, algorithms, filter banks, scalefactors, etc., or if it doesn't use
any of this things at all...), or if the only way of looking at it is within
the psy.c. I've been looking for it in the Vorbis' site and in

I am studying the speex 1.0.5 C source code ,but i feel it is hard
to understand the code ,especially the ltp.c and filters.c file.
may you tell me the detail algorithm or the more detail notation of the
source code of this two file.including below functions
void open_loop_nbest_pitch(float *sw, int start, int end, int len, int
*pitch, float *gain, int N, char *stack);
