yum clean all - adverse effects?
Are there any adverse effects to "yum clean all"? Does the system lose its memory of what is installed/updated? OpenVPN over TCP 1194 rather than UDP 1194 - Is there an adverse effect when running Asterisk?
Hi Everyone, For some reason a few phones connected to a pfSense box can't make or allow in OpenVPN in port 1194 UDP. So, I established the VPN tunnel on 1194 TCP and it works fine. I would like to know if there is any disadvantages to using TCP over UDP for the tunnel when using Asterisk or is just as reliable and solid as a UDP tunnel? Thanks -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

[RFC PATCH net-next v6 4/4] netvsc: refactor notifier/event handling code to use the bypass framework
...ly, the select queue needs to call queue selection in VF. The bonding/teaming logic doesn't work well for UDP flows. Commit b3bf5666a510 ("hv_netvsc: defer queue selection to VF") fixed this performance problem. Lastly, more indirection is bad in current climate. I am not completely adverse to this but it needs to be fast, simple and completely transparent.

Upgrading from Fedora Core 7 to CentOS 5.4
Hi there -- I need to upgrade one of our systems from its current distribution, Fedora Core 7, to the most recent version distribution, release 5.4, of the CentOS operating system. Can I do an in-place upgrade of the operating system without any adverse side-effects? Are there any issues that I should be concerned with before proceeding? Thanks. [LLVMdev] Lifetime of ExecutionEngine?
...gt;getPointerToFunction( fn ); return fn_ptr(); } After I call getPointerToFunction() to obtain the pointer to the JIT'd function and fun the function (that will produce an instance of MyClass on the heap), do I still need 'exec'? Deleting it immediately after use seems to have no adverse effect. I just want to double-check that this is OK. - Paul

How would you program an Adverse Events statistical table using R code?
A graph != A table. I'm talking about a page full of summary statistics and advanced statistics, with lots of cross categories on the top and left margin of the table, as opposed to a visual display with x-axis and y-axis, which is totally different. (An example of how this is done in another language is available at http://fivetimesfaster.blogspot.com ) For an AE table, you have an N and %

[LLVMdev] Lifetime of ExecutionEngine?
Hi Paul, I'm surprised to hear that you aren't seeing any adverse effects. As I understand it, the memory for the function pointer returned by getPointerToFunction is owned by the JITMemoryManager which was used in creating the ExecutionEngine. In the case of the legacy JIT engine, the JITMemoryManager is owned by the JITEmitter which in turn is owned by the JI...

logististic regression (GLM). How to get 95 pct. confidence limits?
Dear R-list. I'm doing af logistic analyses using gml. The model explaines variations in Adverse events infections (0 og 1) using age as explanatory variable. model2d<-glm(formula=AEorSAEInfecBac~Age,family=binomial("logit"),data=emrisk) I want to get predictions with 95% confidence limits for age 30 and age 60. I've been reading the "google" and "search r-pr...

Multinomial-Dirichlet using R
...fit the data I am working on. The dataset is as following: Site Nausea headache Abdominal Distension 1 17 5 10 2 12 8 7 ..... So each site has total # adverse events for each type/category and have equal # patients per site, say 60 and there are 63 sites. If I were to analyze the data for multiple outcomes per site, the number of events per category given the category response rates can be assumed to be independently distributed. They can be modeled by a...

Xend stop/start
...I then do a "xm list" command from within dom0 ...otherwise the status of the domU never changes to --s-- , then to ----- , then to -b---. I currently have a cron job executing "xm list" every couple of minutes. Is this going to be a problem? will running that cron job cause any adverse reactions as far as performance or the health of dom0? CentOS 6.3 packages updates options without upgrading.
...properly is not easily feasible for this scenario. However, they can hand pick packages seem fit for update that can be pushed out using their internal code fixes and updates for end users. SO, this seems to be the problem of trying to hand pick certain packages to be updated, if feasible w/o much adverse effects.

How good is R at making publication quality tables?
...drawing high quality graphs but maybe not so good at creating nice looking tables of the sort I'm used to getting through SAS ODS.   Am I right or wrong about this? If I am wrong, can anyone show me some examples of how R can be used to create really nice looking tables? I often make tables of adverse events in clinical trials that have n(%) values in the cells. I'd love to see an example that does a nice job of making that sort of table but would be happy to see any examples that someone might be willing to send to me.   Thanks,   Paul   _____________________________________________...

External Authentication
That is correct. I'm not adverse to using AD. I've used real AD in many environments in the past and to be honest the Samba4 AD seems to work really well. I just need to have all my users from our central LDAP. The passwords would need to match so that students, faculty and staff can use the existing campus wide tools. Thank y...

FreeIPA
doing some googling, this seems to be about the most current/relevant thing I have found wrt to running freeipa server on CentOS http://howtoforge.com/how-to-build-rhel-ipa-rpms-for-centos-5 which I'm not totally adverse to doing but I have to ask, is there something packaged? (I've looked in 'testing' and in 'extras' and in epel) Has anyone followed some other instructions? If the remaining issues are small, I'll create a test release tarball in the next day or so, which will allow those adverse to CVS to help out in the pre-release testing. ..wayne..
