Admonitions! with Python-Markdown 2.3 release.
Last night I released version 2.3 of Python Markdown (see the release
notes [1] for all the details). In addition to various other
improvements, a new **experimental** extension was included that added
a syntax for generating rST-style admonitions [2]. For a summary of
the syntax, see the documentation [3]. A broader sample of the output
can be seen on this page [4]. The source text can be found by swapping
the ".html" file extension for ".txt" [5]. You can test it here [6]
(be sure to enable the extension).

Nice work Alain
Hey Alain,
Nice work on the updated admonitions here:
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Wiki/Editing
IMHO they look great, and a nice improvement on the previous set.
Thanks for the hard work making our wiki pages look great!

[LLVMdev] Documentation Issues Welcome?
...relevance and old age or just the burden of having to keep
up multiple pages pointing to their proper places on a big
website like this.
On the issue of style again, I have to mention that
documentation shortcomings don't seem major until escalated
in the documentation itself like the repeated admonition in
the Getting Started Quickly section: "Read the
documentation. Read the documentation. Remember that you
were warned twice about reading the documentation." The
imperfections in the documentation become much more annoying
after that. Both the simple things like spelling and printer

RFC: boilerplate text in driver man pages
...e put all of the gory details into the nutupsdrv(8)
man page (mostly there anyway), and just add a few basic options to
the SYNOPSIS section of each driver page for completeness:
-h (help)
-V (version)
-a ups-id (auto-start)
-D (debug)
For "-D" we can continue to include the admonition about not sending
debug info unless requested, and even leave out the fact that you can
pass multiple "-D" options (which could be mentioned on nutupsdrv(8)).
Thoughts?

Yum curiosity: --obsoletes with update, useful or not?
...alled.
If the --obsoletes flag is present yum will include package
obsoletes in its calculations - this makes it better for distro-
version changes, for example: upgrading from somelinux 8.0 to
somelinux 9.
Hmmm. Cell number 2 doesn't forget much. I recall several admonitions
that major upgrade should take the form of a new install. E.g. CentOS 3*
to CentOS 4*. The paragraph above *seems* to indicate that a major
upgrade might be doable? Moreover, it prompts the questions:
1) "What are the downsides, if any?"
2) "Has anybody tried it recently?"...

[LLVMdev] Ninja (make replacement)
...Windows developers willing to put in the

Quick note on the reST:
instead of using a construct like:
**Notice:** If you only want to build 32-bit programs, you do **not** need
to
install MinGW64.
Prefer to use the reStructuredText "admonitions" <
http://docutils.sourceforge.net/docs/ref/rst/directives.html#note>, so the
above would look like:

reST also has a number of other semantically rich admonitions ("hint",

the admonition of Prof. Ripley to search the documentation to solve my problem

But now I'm stuck again. With the help of my script some functions are plotted

randomForest gives different results for formula call v. x, y methods. Why?
Just out of curiosity, I took the default "iris" example in the RF

but seeing the admonition against using the formula interface for large data

the output. Found something interesting I couldn't find documentation for...

Ruby server infrastructure evolution -> app. servers?
All,
Just musing about this whole FastCGI thing (that I hadn''t even thought
of since 1999 when looking at OpenMarket for a customer and even then it
was "old"), and wondering when we might see projects/products that
attempt to provide Ruby application services in a J2EE-like container.
I see the Cerise project - any interesting information on that?
I''m assuming

check this and install it please ? The link is:

The relevant changes are:

already done in the actual theme but I had not internet access to
download the actual theme when changes were made, so I got 1.7-12

Perhaps Uwe's admonition to "do read the posting
guide" was just a knee jerk reaction to an
unrecognized poster's name. Of course, if the poster
did read the posting guide, they would have learned
that :
