No, thats not the problem.. Im using it as Windows designed it by default.
Builtin\Adminsitrators != "DOMAIN\Domain Admins" and DOM\Domain admins is member of Builtin\Adminsitrators
Now your idee..
Builtin\Adminsitrators != "DOMAIN\Domain Admins" and DOM\ANY group but is not default a member of Builtin\Adminsitrators

Windows 'Adminsitrator' User Can't Connect
Hello all,
I'm in the process of moving from Samba 2.2 -> Samba 3.0 and I'm
running into an issue with the Windows user 'Administrator'. This
samba box is using ADS and has Kerberos properly configured. All
windows users except Administrator seem to work properly. I have
Administrator in smbusers mapped to root:

idmap problems
<snip>
Hi Rowland - I've spent the past few days going over the wiki and mailing lists. I think I've got the hang of idmaps. May I clarify a couple of things:
~ I have two DC's and one large fileserver (member). I'm using the 'ad' backend.
~ The only only windows group that needs a gidNumber attribute is Domain Users to map this across to the member server.

sambaPwdMustChange
Hi,
i have samba 3.0.10 installed with LDAP.
I noticed few days ago that my adminsitrator account has expired. I
think it's because of the sambaPwdMustChange field of LDAP. I changed
the passwd now i have the value 1108741705 in it. What does it mean
(when will i be prompted again to change my passwd) and do i have to put
in this field so that the password will never expire ?

PATCH: Use name instead of pid in QEMU logs
The attached patch changes the logfile name generated by qemu-dm to use the
pattern qemu-dm-[NAME].log instead of qemu-dm-[PID].log. This makes it
easier for the adminsitrator to figure out which log corresponds to which
guest (particularly after a crash where you no long know what PID the
qemu-dm process for your guest had). It also prevents the number of log
files from growing unbounded.

So can someone tell me which of the below Se Privileges should not be on the "Domain Admins" group? Because setting only SeDiskOperatorPrivilege is just stupid, really this needs to be changed on the wiki.
root = Adminstrator and Adminsitrator is in "Domain Admins" ....
so why not giving all privileges.
This should be always on Domain Admins imo, how else are you going to manage a domain without all needed privleges.
net rpc rights list "NTDOM\Domain Admins" -S ADDC1.dnsdomain.tld \
-UAdministrator
Enter Administ...

And then you add the UID to the users.
samba-tool user addunixattrs username UID
samba-tool user addunixattrs someusers 10001
samba-tool user addunixattrs Administrator 10000
Yes, again i use UID on Administrator, (against Wiki setups recommendations )
Because, this "DOM\Adminsitrator is not BUILTIN\Administrator" and BUILTIN\Administrator is equal to root
You pick your poision.. You cant mix the 2 setups.
Because if you mix it, root and Dom\Adminstrator will conflict.
Or you pick my setup, or you follow the Wiki Setup.

Samba 3 and W2K3 AD intergration problems
...d a kinit administrator@TEST.CORP, this worked
* then net join -U administrator@TEST.CORP
* i saw in the W2K3 server that the linux server was successfully
intergrated into AD.
* from the Linux server i issued a smbclient //DCSRV01/C$ -k, this
worked
* then from the W2K3 server i tryed to go to the adminsitrator share on
the Linux server. \\RH8SMB\administrator
* i got a box which asked me for my username and password, i typed it in
and i did not work
* if i go to the share by ipadress is works \\192.168.0.55\administrator
or \\192.168.0.55
In the log files i found this:
