How to join a linux machine to a Active Directory Domain using Samba.
Hi, having read through tons of different how-to's about how to do this specific task has made me quite sick. Do someone know a good guide for this or can she/he make a quick how-to? bind failure: can't contact ldap server
Hi list, I have installed samba 2.2.8 on my linux rh 9. with Openldap rmps. I am trying to setup a PDC server using Samba with ldap as the backend. The samba server can not connect to the ldap server. A way to shut down workstation
In a mail to this list a command for shutting down a PC is mentioned, but without further explanation. It said something like this: net rpc shutdown -S <machine name> I do not get it: who shuts down who? For example, I have a samba acting as a PDC server for network with windows 2K workstaions. Users forget to shut down the ws's and I would like to do that automatically (from cron)
