access domain via ldap failed
Er,there it is. I want to use samba to build a domain. I want to join computers into this domain. And I need to access this domain to get sid of computers in the domain, using C# class DirectoryEntry as 'ldap://my domain info' in my another program.

I downloaded adexplorer to a win10 machine and ran it.
Entered the following info:
Connect to --> dc4.samdom.example.com
User --> Adminisrator
Password --> xxxxxxxxxx
Clicked on OK and I got a warning 'The directory service is unavailable'
I Changed the User to 'samdom\Adminisrator'
Clicked OK again and it now works.
So it looks like something has changed and you need to update your C#
program.

Cann't get Windows XP system to find Samba printers
I have a Brothre HL-1440 laser on my Linux system I wish to share. But,
I can not get the Windows system to "see" it. I already have disk shares
That the windows system can access, so something is working Here is my
entries in smb.conf
load printers = yes
printcap name = cups
printing = cups
security = share
[printers]
comment = All Printers
browseable = yes

Configuring firewall to allow Samba to work

This is a note for all those people out there who had to turn off their
firewalls (iptables) to get Samba to work. First start the GUI
interface to the firewall by typing
[somedir]# redhat-config-securitylevel
Click on "Customize".
Click the check box for your network adapter (usually "eth0").
