Samba 3.x server with LDAP backend doesn't work
We have a central LDAP server for our enterprise on a Linux box. I have installed Samba 3.4.4 server on an AIX server and trying to get users authenticated via LDAP server. So far my efforts have been unsuccessful. Here is my ldap section of the smb.conf file:
passdb backend = ldapsam:ldaps://<company_ldap_server>/
ldap ssl = start tls
ldap suffix = dc=xxx,dc=yyy,dc=zzz
ldap delete dn =

New samba connection will not work
...om the test domain and I've deleted the secrets file and
then added it to the live (OASIS) domain and I get
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32>net use * \\confasr1\midas
System error 53 has occurred.
The network path was not found.
When I added it to the domain I got:
smbpasswd -D3 -j OASIS -r OADC01 -U adminID%password
Initialising global parameters
params.c:pm_process() - Processing configuration file "/usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf"
Processing section "[global]"
added interface ip=10.94.50.26 bcast=10.94.255.255 nmask=255.255.0.0
