I have got it working such that wbinfo -u and wbinfo -g both report the users and groups on the AD server - however, what they dont show is the domain (as per 9.3.3 in Samba3 by example) can anyone offer any suggestions ? Also the getent passwd and getent group are not showing the domain details only local machine details. many thanks for any help ian

Hi, I have an interesting issue. I?m running a redhat 9 box with samba 3.0.7, and Kerberos 1.3.1. I?ve joined the machine to the AD2k3 domain, and all the informational commands respond as expected, getent's, wbinfo ?g ?t, and net ads*** and also 'smbclient -k //otherdomainserver/share' works as it should from the server's terminal. when connecting to the server with a windows XPsp2 client, it works as it should....

Hello list I've a peculiar request (not really related to a samba system problem) In the beginning of the year I asked for help to this list, and exchanged emails with many users, to solve an issue (samba vs AD2k3) . I exchanged many emails trying different commands and sending many results of these commands. Unfortunately I did not changed all assigned usernames with anonymous ones.
