Anybody with experience with Aculab Groomer II
Hi, Does anybody have experience working with Aculab groomer II, to convert between ISDN E1 and non-ISDN T1, or anything similar. I am looking for sample config files. We have asterisk as ISDN E1, but for testing we set it up as regular T1 if we get sample config files. Zeeshan A Zakaria -- www.ilovetovoip.com -------------- next part -------------...

Status-info 1: Signalling C7 / SS7
...computer for that purpose, I will buy one of the cards offered by "openss7.com" (the main sponsor of openss7.org) and then figure out by myself, if it could serve for an asterisk-chan_openss7-project. If openss7 won't succeed within some weeks, I've already taken into account an aculab card or an interspan card as alternatives - both manufactures offer APIs which should allow to build channel drivers for asterisk. Ok, that's the status for now. I will let you know interesting news or at least a new status info in about a month. Roger.

E1 and T1 on the same card, or on the same server
...ello list, (Resending this email due to a typo in previous copy) I need to do E1 to T1 conversion for a project, and was wondering if there exists a card with both E1 and T1 on it. Or is it possible to use two separate cards in an asterisk box, one for E1 and one for T1? (Please don't mention aculab or adtran, dealt with them in the past, won't deal again.) I talked to Digium and the sales guy said their TE420 card can *supposedly* do it as it can have ports configured as a mix of E1s and T1s. Has anybody used this card for the purpose of T1 to E1 conversion? Regards Zeeshan A Zakaria...

Y-cords - What are they ?
Good Afternoon, Can someone please explain what Y-cords are available out there and how they can be used with Aastra or other VoIP phones? Maybe with or WITHOUT headsets? Isn't a Y-cord traded for soft Barge in these days? Thanks, Bruce -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Quad T1 Card
Ok... I am reluctant to ask this question as I believe that it may be like asking what someones favorite linux distribution is... but I need to make an informed decision. We are getting ready to upgrade from a TE210P to a quad T1 card with echo cancellation. I am trying to decide between the Sangoma card and the Digium card. I need this to have great quality and I need it to work well. I would
