[PATCH] an obvious fix to PIC IO intercept
an obvious fix to PIC IO intercept. In PIC IO, address from send_pio_req is physical address already. a question about lm on t-test.
...ust the same as t.test. group2=1.58 means the difference of the 2 groups,so mean2=1.58+0.75=2.33,just the same as t.test. And some parameters of group2(t value,Pr) are the same as t.test, since group2 is the difference of the 2 groups. My question is: How the "t value" of Intercept(group1 acturally) is calculated? Thanks a lot. My best [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Help needed: Fraction for Histogram > 1 ???
I have been trying to draw histogram for my manscript and found some strange things that I could not figure out why. Using the same code listed below I have successfully draw histograms for a few figures with fraction labeled on Y axis less than 1 (acturally between 0 to 0.1). But one dataset gives the Y axis label 0 to 5 as fraction. This is not true, as fraction are less than 1, although the value distribution on the figure seems to me is right. The only difference between the first few datasets and last dataset is: All values for the first few d...

Hi all: Suppose there're 3 groups, and I wanna compare the result of the 3 groups. I've drawn a boxplot. But I wanna show the actural data points of each group at the same time.In other words I wanna combine the boxplot and dotchart together. How can I do it? Thanks a lot! My best. gdata read.xls() values format problem
Dear All, When I use read.xls() in gdata package to read xls files, I noticed an issue and couldn't find any solutions after I serched all previous posts. In the excel file, the number value, for example, is actually 2.3456789 but formatted as 2.3 (Format Cells ---> Decimal places:1). After I use read.xls() to import the excel file, I found that, in R, this number is read as the formatted

About the covariant
...39;ve looked up to many papers of R on regression, which treat the covariant in the same way as the Explanatory variable, like following: lm(CD4 ~ time + gender + income) >From above expression of regression,it's obvious that the response variables and covariants are treated the same way,but acturally they are totally different. Thanks for your help. My best. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

multivariate integral with ADAPT when the parameter is close to boundary
...integral w.r.t beta density. For example, when I try to run the following comments: fun2<-function(theta){return(dbeta(theta[1],0.005,0.005)*dbeta(theta[2],0.005,0.005))} int.fun2<-adapt(ndim=2,lo = c(0,0), up = c(1,1),functn = fun2,eps = 1e-4) It seems it will take very long time to run. Acturally, I stopped the program after it was running for like 20 minutes. I thought this might be due to the inclusion of the lower and upper in to the integral computation, so I tried to change the lower and upper limits: fun2<-function(theta){return(dbeta(theta[1],0.005,0.005)*dbeta(theta[2],0.005,0....

Atom
Any plans for using Atom with rails. I saw the "Typo" project is using MoveableType, Blogger, ... but not Atom. It seems Atom is not part of ActionWebService. Has anyone done any work with Atom and Rails ? Thanks for your answers, Gaspard

How to compute 95%CI for OR from logistic regression?
Hi all: My data has 3 variables: age(3levels : <30y=1 30-50y=2, >50y=3) gender(Male=0, Female=1) CD4 cell count(raw lab measurement) y(1:death 0:alive) I perform logistic regression to find out the factors that influence y. result<-glm(y ~ factor(age) + factor(gender) + CD4,family = binomial) >From the result,I can get OR(Odds Ratio) of gender via exp(Estimate of Female,

pass an element in a list() from R to C
Hi all, I'm new to this "call C from R" so bear with me. I'v been writing some C code and compile it to .dll files that can be called from R. It was successful until today, when I start a new part of this project. So, my R code passes arguments to this C code, and these arguments including some integers and matrices. it looks like this, and it works fine:
