RFC: Introducing an LLVM Community Code of Conduct
While I'm replying to Renato here, that is mostly because there are too many replies on this subject, and too many of them have wandered off into other topics. I want to specifically address the concerns with verbosity. For example: On Tue, Oct 13, 2015 at 3:52 AM Renato Golin <renato.golin at linaro.org> wrote: > I also agree that some descriptions are too verbose, and trying to

Can't delete emails from or write replies to Inbox
Hi, I'm running Dovecot and Thunderbird, with 2 separate accounts (business and personal). One operates fine, but the other one won't allow me to write replies to the Inbox (so that I can track current threads), and if I move emails to another folder, it copies them instead. New emails do appear in the Inbox. I've checked the permissions on the two Inboxes, and they are the same

KPFA live vorbis stream
...ir vorbis stream has been available for about a month now. It's 32 kbps/14 kHz stereo - perhaps not the best choice for optimal audio fidelity, but person responsible for establishing the vorbis stream wanted it to be accessable to dial-up modem users. Many of KPFA's listeners are political activists or people with generally low to moderate incomes. Anyway, I hope this is of interest to this list. I sort of started the ball rolling by telling a KPFA host who I regularly listen to about vorbis, and urging him to talk to their techs about considering ogg vorbis as a format for streaming KPFA in...

Case weights in nlme models
...is fairly simple (I hope). The data were collected in two stages: a 15,000-subject randomly-sampled telephone interview (the SCREEN), with 2,517 subjects selected for in-home interviews. The 2,517-subject survey constitutes the actual dataset we're using. But those data include oversamples for activists and african-americans, plus a case weighting variable. According to the survey's documentation, using the weight allows the oversampled study data to be representative of the 15,000-person random sample. All this is fine, and I've been able to run linear models on the data using lm() with...

Broadening of ZFS open source license
In the article about MeeGo: http://lwn.net/SubscriberLink/387196/103bbafc9266fd0d/ it is stated, that Oracle (together with RedHat) contributes a bulk part of BTRFS development. Given that ZFS and BTRFS both share many similar goals, wouldn''t it be reasonable for Oracle to license ZFS under wider range of FOSS licenses (similar to how Mozilla released their code under triple license,
